Mis seguidores y visitantes deberían perdonar mi franqueza...
ENGLISH I’m pretty sure that many people will say: "ooooh! What a cute Mulan (Disney®) set!"... Or they will ask: "it’s from an anime series?"...
My followers and visitors should forgive my frankness... But ignorance is quite daring!...
These figures are not from Mulan, neither they belong to an anime series. Appearances can deceive.
Noodles! is, neither more nor less, a french comic series (yes, you read right, french comic...) created by Séverine Gauthier (writer), Thomas Labourot (designer) y Christian Lerolle (colorist).
It chronicles the adventures of a group apprentices of martial arts, which belongs to a dojo down at heel and, to bring back its reputation, they must find the secret weapon of a samurai that once defeated a terrible demon.
This legendary weapon is a pair of chit-chats with magical powers... OH!... By the way, they do anything for a bowl full of noodles!...
This is the most exclusive set of figures in my whole collection and I’m not exaggerating...
It’s an extra limited edition of 350 pieces worldwide (will I meet the other 349 owners of this set someday?), individually hand numbered, manufactured in cold cast porcelain, paying great attention to details and an excellent paint job, each one with its own base printed in full color on both sides, the pieces are between 2" and 4" high, the packaging design is incredible and each one has their own accessories.
This set includes: Isha (# 81/350), Mayoke (# 49/350), Futegiwa (# 48/350), Kikitte (# 81/350) and Peko (# 50/350). (NOTE: this is the order of the individual images, from top to bottom).
TY Dennis... i saw u visited me, but u took ur time 2 comment LOL... yes, absolutely, it’s an uncommon pleasure to own this set, myb i’ll get d 2 comics available (in french ofc)...
finally u come back LEon... welcome !!! yup, d design of these pieces r careful... another curiosity is that u can put together d boxes & "build" an illustration of all the group of characters, like a simple puzzle...

My alternate blog in WordPress
From now, I will be publishing basically the same contents in both blogs, but for reviews before March 18, 2019, you must read my Blogger blog...
I’m a professional graphic designer and a restful collector, but above all: I’m someone who doesn’t take for granted anything, just because someone else says so. I think this hobby goes way beyond buying stuff here and there: anybody with money can buy collectibles, but not anybody becomes collector by doing so. I think as well that this hobby is, more than anything, about knowledge, about making sense of what happens around us and just like any other kind of knowledge, if it’s devoid of ethics, is worthless. I like to address topics around collectionism, including, but not limited to: history, industry, forums, groups, collectors, distributors, sellers, etc. I’m fully aware that criticism is essential for our hobby: everything is susceptible of improvement and we the collectors demand quality, but the industry around it doesn’t necessarily shares that vision. After all, well-targeted criticism always helps to detect failures and correct them, it’s like critical thinking: it helps you see things as they really are and not just as how they are presented to you. If you are someone who likes to look beyond the surface, welcome, if that is not the case, continue at your own risk...
