Si la respuesta es SI, ¡eres el mejor, amigo!... Si la respuesta es: NO, vé y j... uega a la golosa... 

Bien, fue en Octubre de 2011, quizás hace ya bastante tiempo =PPPPP... 

El SOFA es un evento anual relacionado con cómic, manga, animé, videojuegos, cosplay, figuras de colección, películas y toda clase de cosas "friki"... 

Recuerdo, eso si, que un apreciado colega me preguntó si había alguna "cacería del tesoro" allí y la respuesta está aquí. 

No estoy acostumbrado a comprar cosas en esta clase de eventos sea porque me quedo sin dinero o porque las cosas allí no son de hecho tan baratas o porque no puedo encontrar algo interesante... 

En todo caso, esta vez un amigo y colega mío me prestó unas "eles" (dinero) para comprar este grandioso mini-set. Pertenece a una serie de TV de Warner Bros., sobre las infames aventuras de un grupo de luchadores. 

Ustedes pueden ver todo el primoroso detalle y trabajo de pintura logrado aquí, también el parecido con los personajes originales 2D es completo y si eso no fuera suficiente, ¡tiene partes intercambiables para armar tu propio luchador personalizado!... 

Los personajes incluidos son: Megawatt The Masher, The Flea y como regalo la Rosquilla de la Fortuna y un Muñeco Vudú... 

¡En serio, el DIOS de la Biblia es muy generoso con este coleccionista humilde y de bajo perfil, echémosle un vistazo a mi publicación de la próxima semana! (No ahora mismo, por supuesto =PPPPP)... =)

Well, it was in October 2011, maybe quite a long time ago =PPPPP... 

The SOFA is an annual event in my hometown related with comic, manga, anime, videogames, cosplay, collection figures, movies and all sort of "geek" stuff... 

I do remember an appreciated colleague of mine asked me if I had some "treasure hunt" there and the answer is here. 

I’m not used to buy items in this kind of events either because I run out of money or because the items there, are not so cheap indeed or because I cannot find something interesting... 

Anyway, this time a friend and colleague of mine lent my some "eles" (money) to buy this great mini-set. It belongs to a Warner Bros. TV series about the infamous adventures of a group of wrestlers. 

You can see all the lovely detail and paint job achieved here, also the resemblance with the original 2D characters is perfect and if that weren’t enough they have interchangeable parts to assemble your own custom wrestler!... 

The characters included are: Megawatt The Masher, The Flea and as a bonus the Fortune Doughnut and a Voodoo Doll... 

Seriously, the GOD of the Bible is so generous with this humble and low profile collector, let’s have a look at my next week post! (Not right now, of course =PPPPP)... =)

The Chronicles of Narnia -Prince Caspian- Centaur Glenstorm & Peepiceek Action Figures by Jakks Pacific / Play Along

 

Desde que el Señor de los Anillos hizo su aparición en 2001, las películas de fantasía épica ambientadas en la edad media ganaron una fuerza y aceptación increíble entre el público de todas las edades. 

Existían y tenían un buen grupo de seguidores desde hace un buen tiempo, pero esta cinta les dió gran visibilidad y las hizo atractivas (financieramente) para los grandes estudios de cine, por lo cual una andanada de películas con temática similar le siguieron con mayor o menor éxito. 

Una de estas sagas es la de Las Crónicas de Narnia, que sin ser tan densa como el Señor de los Anillos, logra un resultado interesante aunque está enfocada a un público más jóven. 

Cuando el presupuesto escasea (¡y este hobby puede ser extremadamente costoso!) un regalo inesperado puede mitigar el dolor (¡HAHAHA!). 

Mi hermana mayor tuvo este detalle conmigo, que agradezco públicamente, pues realmente complace mi exigente gusto. 

Estas piezas de personajes mitológicos / fantasticos son ricamente detalladas, con una trabajo de pintura a la altura de las mejores piezas de McFarlane y buena articulación. Jakks Pacific para mí tiene un gran valor como fabricante de juguetes y estas figuras son prueba de ello... 

Que DIOS tenga misericordia de nosotros y nos vemos la próxima semana =)

Since the Lord of the Rings made its appearance in 2001, the epic fantastic films set in the Middle Age gained incredible strength and acceptance among the public of all ages. 

They existed and had a group of fans for quite some time, but this film gave them high visibility and make them attractive (financially) for the major movie studios, so a barrage of similar-themed movies followed it with more or less success. 

One of those sagas is the Chronicles of Narnia, which while not as dense as the Lord of the Rings, achieved an interesting result, but is aimed to younger audiences. 

When the budget is scarce (and this hobby can be extremely expensive!) an unexpected gift can relieve the pain (HAHAHA!). 

My older sister had this gesture with me, that I thank publicly, since it really please my demanding taste.

These pieces of mythological / fantastic characters are richly detailed, with a paint job to match the best pieces from McFarlane and a good level of articulation. Jakks Pacific to me is invaluable as toys’ manufacturer and these figures are a proof of that...

Pokemon Battle Frontier Basic Figure Series 2 Grovyle (Pikachu) by Jakks Pacific

Hace un buen tiempo que dejé de preocuparme por ser una persona sumamente contradictoria. No es usual para mí seguir un patrón y no tengo problema en llevarme la contraria si es necesario. Soy una mente errática con un criterio muy definido. 

Cuando todos quieren ir a la derecha, yo opto por la izquierda... Bueno, y ¿a qué va todo esto?... Porque este NO es blog sobre divagaciones personales ni sobre mis experiencias psicóticas / esquizofrénicas... 

Bien, aquí está el motivo de esta introducción: odio la Serie Pokemon. Y ¿por qué carajos hay una publicación de Pokemon aquí?... Porque las figuras de colección de esta serie (algunas, NO todas) me encantan.

Jakks Pacific fue una marca totalmente desconocida para mí, hasta que rescaté esta linda figura del olvido, pues era parte de un lote que no había conseguido dueño. 

Se trata de una pieza en PVC, de buen tamaño (2 1/2" de largo) y finamente elaborada, su trabajo de pintura es muy satisfactorio y entra a llenar un vacío que tenía en mi colección... 

Quizás, cuando mis finanzas esten recuperadas del duro golpe que les ha propinado mi afición, me las arreglaré para adquirir algún set Pokemon de Takara, ¡que me tiene delirando!... =PPPPP

It’s been a while since I stopped worrying about being a highly contradictory person. Is not usual for me to follow a pattern and I have no problem into contradict myself if necessary. I’m a wandering mind with a well-defined criteria. 

When everyone wants to go to the right, I opt for the left... So, what is all this?... Because this is NOT a blog about personal ramblings or about my psychotic / schizophrenic experiences... 

Well, here’s the reason for this introduction: I hate Pokemon Series. Then why the heck there is a Pokemon publication here?... Because I love the collection figures of this series (some of them, NOT all).

The Jakks Pacific brand was completely unknown for me, until I rescued from oblivion this cute figure, which was a part of a lot that had not an owner yet. 

This is a piece of PVC, with a good size (2 1/2" long) and finely done, its paint job is more than satisfactory and it enters to fill a void in my collection... 

Perhaps, when my finances are recovered of the hard blow that my hobby gives them, I will manage to acquire a set of Pokemon by Takara, which has me delirious!... =PPPPP
