Vaya, vaya, vaya...
Super Duper recomendada...
ENGLISH Well, well, well... To be honest, I didn’t think that the Patlabor Series, more properly called Mobile Police Patlabor, was so "old".
I would have bet (and lost) that this series started right into the early 90’s, but NO! (are you nuts?).
An OVA of 7 episodes in 1988, was the germ that gave rise to this franchise from anime / manga / movie / videogames, with a very good reception and, unfortunately, I couldn’t see the material available in video, so I keep for myself the confirmation or denial of its success.
Later three movies would come, one TV series, an additional OVA (16 episodes) and three short films (which suggest to me, that the "thing" about its success can be verified).
Ohhh, it was created by a group of artist known as Headgear and the first two movies were in the wonderful hands of Mamoru Oshii, Production I.G and Kenji Kawai (WOW I need some electroshocks, I’m dying!).
It also has an extensive list of "mechas": Police Labors (13), Military Labors (14), Rescue Labors (2), Civilian/Industrial Labors (11) and Other Labors (2).
Now, to the group of military use Patlabors, belongs the collection figure I have the pleasure to introduce.
It’s the first appearance of a figure Revoltech type in this bizarre place and I must say that I loved it. It’s almost 5" high, made of PVC, ABS and POM, an above average detail level, and although its paint job could be improved a bit, it’s very good.
Not to mention its articulation level, that sets a new standard in the industry and it comes with cool accessories including additional hands, a revolver and an stand base with Revoltech articulation (they are so exaggerated!). Super Duper recommended...
hehehe... i thought the same, when i saw the Aquaunit, i said myself "this guy could b a mess to pose" but it was just a matter of balance & he has great balance !!! not to mention his awesome looking, but as u can guess, i didn’t know that his pilot was a girl, that makes him more interesting for me... i must watch this series !!!...
I love Patlabor and Griffon is definitely the toughest robot any Ingram had faced. Though Griffon is piloted by a boy, he is talented and elusive. Even the army class robot in the anime is no match to Griffon. Indeed a great figure to own my friend. The reason why Griffon came without much accessories was because it is already very strong with its speed and cutting edge fingers.
THX Dennis... now i know u got my message (i can b so persuasive LOL)... i hav great expectations bout these anime series (including TV, movies & OVAs) so i’ll try to get all the material available... i’m glad that u like it & THX for the new info bout this mecha... anyway, i’m a bit confused cuz LEon told me that the pilot was a girl & now u say that is a boy !!!???

From now, I will be publishing basically the same contents in both blogs, but for reviews before March 18, 2019, you must read my Blogger blog...
I’m a professional graphic designer and a restful collector, but above all: I’m someone who doesn’t take for granted anything, just because someone else says so. I think this hobby goes way beyond buying stuff here and there: anybody with money can buy collectibles, but not anybody becomes collector by doing so. I think as well that this hobby is, more than anything, about knowledge, about making sense of what happens around us and just like any other kind of knowledge, if it’s devoid of ethics, is worthless. I like to address topics around collectionism, including, but not limited to: history, industry, forums, groups, collectors, distributors, sellers, etc. I’m fully aware that criticism is essential for our hobby: everything is susceptible of improvement and we the collectors demand quality, but the industry around it doesn’t necessarily shares that vision. After all, well-targeted criticism always helps to detect failures and correct them, it’s like critical thinking: it helps you see things as they really are and not just as how they are presented to you. If you are someone who likes to look beyond the surface, welcome, if that is not the case, continue at your own risk...
