Dinotales 7 Figure Collection Lawson Edition Part 2 by Kaiyodo

Esta es mi publicación más reciente y aunque parezca sin sentido, es también la más antigua de este blog...

Sinceramente, no creo que los dinosaurios hayan existido hace millones de años, como se empeñan en afirmar los científicos en sus elaboradas hipótesis... 

Tal vez varios miles de años, ¿pero millones?... Eso va en contra de mi sentido común.

Espero que ningún paleontólogo se le dé por visitarme, pues mínimo sufrirá una úlcera, como consecuencia de mis comentarios... 

Pero ¿cuándo se ha visto un científico coleccionista?... A menos que lo que le guste coleccionar sea, tú sabes, hipótesis BUAHAHA...

Desde hace bastante tiempo tenía reservadas estas maravillosas miniaturas, pues no me había decidido a publicarlas. Gran error pues son deliciosamente detalladas, pero en estos casos prefiero publicar sets completos. 

Este consta de 10 piezas, pero me doy por bien servido al haber conseguido 5 porque según creo son unas rarezas, al menos en este hemisferio. 

Vienen en unas curiosas bolsas metalizadas con un pequeño volante, que contiene información sobre la respectiva figura e imágenes de las otras que componen el set. 

Su trabajo de pintura es increíble para unas figuras tan pequeñas (entre 2" y 3") y están basadas en los últimos estudios científicos y las más sólidas hipótesis (escucha cuidadosamente, hi-pó-te-sis) y su producción fue supervisada por Shinobu Matsumura. 

Este es el orden en que aparecen de arriba hacia abajo: Dunkleosteus, Pterygotus, Elasmosaurus, Archiceratops y Huayangosaurus.

This is my most recent publication and albeit it may seems nonsense, but it’s also the oldest in this blog... 

Honestly, I don’t believe that dinosaurs have existed millions of years ago, as scientists strive to affirm in their great hypothesis... 

Maybe thousands of years, but millions?... That goes against my common sense.

I hope that no paleontologist dare to visit me, because at least an ulcer they will suffer as a consequence of my comments... 

But when you have seen a scientist collector?... Unless what they like to collect were, you know, hypothesis BUAHAHA...

For some time I had reserved these marvelous miniatures, because I had not decided to publish them. Big mistake, as they are wonderfully detailed, but in these cases I prefer to publish complete sets. 

It consist of 10 pieces, but I’m satisfied by having gotten 5, because they’re rarities, at least in this hemisphere. 

They come in curious metallic bags with a small flyer, which contains information on the respective figure and images of the others that make up the set. 

Their paint job is incredible for figures so small (between 2" and 3") and they’re based on the latest scientific studies and bold hypothesis (listen carefully, hy-po-the-sis) and their production was overseen by Shinobu Matsumura. 

This is the order they appear from top to bottom: Dunkleosteus, Pterygotus, Elasmosaurus, Archiceratops and Huayangosaurus.

Dante Series 003 Revoltech Yamaguchi Action Figure by Kaiyodo

En realidad, no se si alguien me extrañó (eso espero, por el bien y la continuidad de este blog...) pero si no lo hicieron, aún hay una poderosa motivación interna para seguir fastidiando la red virtual: quiero que muchos sepan que en Colombia hay alguien con algo que decir y algo que mostrar, punto.

Hoy voy a "fastidiar" a mis visitantes con algo que llamó poderosamente mi atención, a pesar que resistí durante mucho tiempo la tentación de adquirir más figuras Revoltech...

Basada en un exitoso videojuego tipo Hack and Slash (combate estilizado con armas de corto alcance) de Capcom llamado Devil May Cry (que inicialmente se pensó como un desarrollo paralelo a Resident Evil, pero que tomó vida propia), se trata de su protagonista: Dante, un asesino de demonios (suena bastante interesante, pero no he tenido la oportunidad de jugar este juego).

Esta figura de 6" de alto (aprox.) es rica en detalle y su trabajo de pintura me impactó. Por supuesto su nivel de articulación es el que se espera del sistema Revolver Joint, e incluye el gabán. 

Aunque el rostro resulta un poco "caricaturesco" (hay dos cabezas disponibles), el set está bien hecho y está complementado por muy lindos accesorios, como una enorme espada, un par de pistolas (una plateada y una negra), una escopeta de doble cañón recortado, un arma que no se define entre una guitarra (!?) y un hacha, y su base de exhibición...

Actually I don’t know if someone missed me (I hope so, for the sake and the continuity of this blog...) but if you didn’t, there is still a strong internal motivation to keep me pestering the virtual network: I want many people to know that in Colombia there is someone with something to say and something to show, period.

Today I’m going to "annoy" my visitors with something that caught my attention, although for a long time I resisted the temptation to acquire more Revoltech figures...

Based on a successful Hack and Slash type videogame (highly stylized combat with short-range weapons) by Capcom called Devil May Cry (originally conceived as a parallel development to Resident Evil, but took own life), it’s the protagonist: Dante, a demon slayer (sounds quite interesting, but I haven’t had the opportunity to play this game).

This 6" high figure (approx.) is rich in detail and its paint job blew me away. Of course, the level of articulation is the expected from the Revolver Joint system, and includes the trench coat. 

Though the face looks a bit "cartoonish" (there are two heads available), the set is well made and is complemented by nice accessories, like a huge sword, a pair of pistols (one silver and one black), a double-barreled shotgun, a weapon that is not defined between a guitar (!!!???) and an axe, and its display base...

Patlabor Griffon with Aquaunit Type -J9 Series 045 Revoltech Yamaguchi Action Figure by Kaiyodo

Vaya, vaya, vaya... La verdad, no pensé que la Serie Patlabor, más propiamente llamada Mobile Police Patlabor, fuera tan de "vieja data". 

Yo hubiera apostado (y perdido) que esta serie se inició bien entrada la década de los 90’s, pero ¡NO! (¿estás loco?).

Una OVA de 7 episodios en 1988, fue el germen que dió origen a esta franquicia del animé / manga / cine / videojuegos, con muy buena acogida y, desgraciadamente, no he podido ver el material disponible en video, así que me reservo la confirmación o negación de su éxito. 

Posteriormente vendrían tres películas, una serie para televisión, una OVA adicional (16 episodios) y tres filmes cortos (lo cual me sugiere, que aquello de su éxito puede ser verificable). 

Ahhh, fue creada por un grupo de artistas conocido como Headgear y las dos primeras películas estuvieron en las admirables manos de Mamoru Oshii, Production I.G. y Kenji Kawai (¡WOW necesito algunos electroshocks, que me muero!). 

Además tiene una extensa lista de "mecas": Labores de Policía (13), Labores Militares (14), Labores de Rescate (2), Labores Civiles / Industriales (11) y Otras Labores (2).

Pues bien, al grupo de Patlabors para uso militar, pertenece la figura de colección que hoy tengo el placer de presentarles. 

Es la primera aparición de un figura tipo Revoltech en este lugar bizarro y debo decir que me encantó. Tiene casi 5" de alto, fabricada en PVC, ABS y POM (también tiene QDEE**), un nivel de detalle por encima del promedio, y aunque su trabajo de pintura podría mejorar un poco, es muy bueno. 

Ni hablar de su nivel de articulación, que establece un nuevo estándar en la industria y viene con interesantes accesorios que incluyen manos adicionales, un revólver y una base con articulación Revoltech (¡son tan exagerados!). Super Duper recomendada...

Well, well, well... To be honest, I didn’t think that the Patlabor Series, more properly called Mobile Police Patlabor, was so "old". 

I would have bet (and lost) that this series started right into the early 90’s, but NO! (are you nuts?).

An OVA of 7 episodes in 1988, was the germ that gave rise to this franchise from anime / manga / movie / videogames, with a very good reception and, unfortunately, I couldn’t see the material available in video, so I keep for myself the confirmation or denial of its success. 

Later three movies would come, one TV series, an additional OVA (16 episodes) and three short films (which suggest to me, that the "thing" about its success can be verified). 

Ohhh, it was created by a group of artist known as Headgear and the first two movies were in the wonderful hands of Mamoru Oshii, Production I.G and Kenji Kawai (WOW I need some electroshocks, I’m dying!). 

It also has an extensive list of "mechas": Police Labors (13), Military Labors (14), Rescue Labors (2), Civilian/Industrial Labors (11) and Other Labors (2).

Now, to the group of military use Patlabors, belongs the collection figure I have the pleasure to introduce. 

It’s the first appearance of a figure Revoltech type in this bizarre place and I must say that I loved it. It’s almost 5" high, made of PVC, ABS and POM, an above average detail level, and although its paint job could be improved a bit, it’s very good. 

Not to mention its articulation level, that sets a new standard in the industry and it comes with cool accessories including additional hands, a revolver and an stand base with Revoltech articulation (they are so exaggerated!). Super Duper recommended...
