Actually I don’t know if someone missed me (I hope so, for the sake and the continuity of this blog...) but if you didn’t, there is still a strong internal motivation to keep me pestering the virtual network: I want many people to know that in Colombia there is someone with something to say and something to show, period.
Today I’m going to "annoy" my visitors with something that caught my attention, although for a long time I resisted the temptation to acquire more Revoltech figures...
Based on a successful Hack and Slash type videogame (highly stylized combat with short-range weapons) by Capcom called Devil May Cry (originally conceived as a parallel development to Resident Evil, but took own life), it’s the protagonist: Dante, a demon slayer (sounds quite interesting, but I haven’t had the opportunity to play this game).
This 6" high figure (approx.) is rich in detail and its paint job blew me away. Of course, the level of articulation is the expected from the Revolver Joint system, and includes the trench coat.
Though the face looks a bit "cartoonish" (there are two heads available), the set is well made and is complemented by nice accessories, like a huge sword, a pair of pistols (one silver and one black), a double-barreled shotgun, a weapon that is not defined between a guitar (!!!???) and an axe, and its display base...
I hope that you enjoy it as I do =)))))

Liked his revo figure, though it would have been better if he was given the new Yamaguchi rehaul(more joints) still I like the guitar
well, i dunno bout that new line of Revoltech, though i think his "old" line is pretty well done & the level of articulation is more than enough... TYSM for commenting here Mikee,i began to think that i was alone in the world XDDD =D
You will not get forgotten bro, at least not now. Lol... I don't play 'Devil May Cry' but heard the game rocks! As for the anime, to me it's just so so. Maybe the toonised face follows the anime look. Great posing and remarkable articulation there. Should be pleasing for someone like you who likes many accessories and changeable hands and heads.
man, ur support is always welcome =D... yep, u r absolutely right, this is just the kind of figures that i like the most: plently of details, with great paint job & a lot of accesories !!!
this revoltech figure to me its a bit too plain. hmm.. maybe cause i like Dante so very much! XD. It somehow fails to recreate the expression and fierceness that dante always had in the game. And with now with him featuring in the upcoming Marvel VS Capcom 3, i would really like to see him in a sh figuarts or figma.
hehehe, i think the correct word for that is not plain but neat... as Dennis mentioned, probably this figure is based on the anime version & not in the videogame version (that is darker & a bit motley)... i don’t hav any SH Figuart or Figma figures in my collection, so i don’t hav a reference of quality, detail & paint job to compare with Revoltech figures, anyway i find them (Revoltech) pretty good action figures =)
