EVA-01 Test Type Model (Metallic Paint Version) Action Figure - Neon Genesis Evangelion Collection Vol. 1 by YAMATO USA

Muy pocas series de animé han capturado un ejército tan diverso y leal de fanáticos alrededor del mundo, como Neon Genesis Evangelion ha hecho y no sin una razón... 

Hay muchos elementos que trabajan juntos para crear un historia de ficción compleja, que toma las referencias más importantes de una narración no ficcional mucho más compleja: El Libro del Apocalipsis, parte de la Biblia... 

Ya indiqué en una publicación anterior, que Evangelion está muy lejos de ser una apología de la visión para el fin de los tiempos, tal como la Cristiandad (incluido yo) cree, basada en las profecías de la Escritura, pero algunas nociones distintivas están allí... 

Por ejemplo, los ángeles... 

Hay, no obstante, tanto coincidencias como diferencias en cómo estos seres son presentados en la serie de animé, con respecto a la Biblia y vale la pena aclarar que el Apocalipsis es el libro de las Escrituras que más menciona estas criaturas... 

Los ángeles son presentados en esta serie como semillas, "plantadas" en la Tierra por una "Primera Raza Ancestral" extraterrestre y descritos como el origen de la humanidad... 

La Biblia, por otro lado, introduce a los ángeles como seres celestiales, creados por DIOS antes que cualquier otra cosa sobre la Tierra, con una naturaleza / propósito diferente e independiente de aquel de la humanidad, que también fue creda por DIOS de una forma especial, completamente distinta a la del resto de la creación (incluyendo a los mismos ángeles)... 

Estas criaturas en la serie, llegan de la nada y su propósito esencial es bastante ambiguo, la única cosa que puedes percibir claramente, es que son incisivos en atacar Tokio-3, donde las instalaciones de NERVE, junto con Gendo Ikari (el portador del embrión de Adán), están "convenientemente" resguardados... 

En el Libro del Apocalipsis, los ángeles son mensajeros de DIOS, que primeramente predican el arrepentimiento de nuestros pecados e instan a creer en JESUCRISTO como Señor y Salvador; después, ellos se convierten en instrumentos de DIOS para traer juicio sobre la humanidad, a causa de su incredulidad, rebelión y depravación... 

En la serie Evangelion, Adán es reconocido como el primer ángel, una criatura gigante, el progenitor de los ángeles del tercero hasta el diecisieteavo que atacan NERVE y también la base genética para todos los EVAs, excepto la Unidad 01, que fue originado de Lilith, el segundo ángel... 

En la Biblia, principalmente en el Antiguo Testamento, Adán es el primer hombre jamás creado, justo como uno de nosotros; en su primer estado, tenía un alma pura, no contaminada por el pecado y de él, DIOS creó a Eva, la primera mujer, que sería su compañera perfecta, de acuerdo con el propósito de DIOS... 

Lilith (t.c.c. lechuza), es mencionada solo en el Libro del profeta Isaías (en el Antiguo Testamento, Isa 34:14), como parte de una lista de bestias, pero en la mitología judía y tradiciones paganas, Lilith es descrita como un demonio femenino... 

Los ángeles en la serie de animé son presentados como humanoides, con un patrón de ADN bastante similar al de los humanos, pero pueden tomar la forma que quieran; en ese sentido, su apariencia / diseño es muy diverso, más o menos como esculturas de arte moderno, con una presencia física, capaces de proyectar un campo de energía (llamado campo A.T.) y otras formas de poderes paranormales como psicoquinesis, levitación y metamorfosis; además tienen una fuente de poder llamada motor S², que les da una naturaleza cibernética y, por lo tanto, pueden ser destruidos físicamente... 

En la Bilia, los ángeles son criaturas espirituales que no tiene esencia física, pero pueden tomar una forma corpórea; usualmente aparecen como seres humanos, pero increíblemente poderosos y podían pasar desapercibidos hasta que revelaran su verdadera naturaleza; tienen alma y voluntad, pero su voluntad no es libre, ellos siempre harán la Voluntad de DIOS y ya que son seres espirituales, no podrían ser destruidos por ningún medio físico... 

Podría continuar con esta interesante comparación, pero me limito a mí mismo con el fin de mantener un "tamaño decente" en mis reseñas; sin embargo, ¡tal vez en publicaciones futuras hablaré un poco más sobre esto!... 

Esta es mi última publicación con respecto a la Serie Neon Genesis Evangelion Collection hecha por YAMATO USA, hace ya un buen tiempo. 

Aparentemente, hubo otras series fabricadas después, pero venían con menos accesorios y una presentación diferente (caja en vez de tarjeta, como en esta línea). 

Justo como las otras dos figuras de acción, ya publicadas aquí y aquí, esta es una figura de 7", basada en el EVA-01 Test Type, que fue pilotado por Shinji Ikari. 

Presenta 11 puntos de articulación; el trabajo de pintura con acabado metalizado es púrpura, con acentos en lila, naranja claro, verde claro y negro con acabado mate; la escultura, como en las otras figuras es bastante satisfactoria y pulcra. 

Los accesorios incluidos con este EVA son: un rifle paleta, un cañón positrónico, un cuchillo y un plug de alimentación; también olvidé mencionar que la mayoría de estos extras podrían ser usados junto con los otros EVAs así que, podrías tener un montón de diversión con ellos, "luchando" juntos... 

Apo 18:1-5 "Después de esto vi a otro ángel descender del cielo con gran poder; y la tierra fue alumbrada con su gloria. Y clamó con voz potente, diciendo: ha caído, ha caído la gran Babilonia, y se ha hecho habitación de demonios y guarida de todo espíritu inmundo, y albergue de toda ave inmunda y aborrecible. Very few anime series have captured a so diverse and loyal army of fanatics around the world, like Neon Genesis Evangelion has done and not without a reason... 

There are many elements that work together to create a complex fictional story, which take the most important references from a much more complex non-fictional narration: the Book of Revelation, part of the Bible... 

I already stated in a previous publication, that Evangelion is very far from being an apology of the vision for the end times, just as the Christianity (me included) believes, based on the prophecies of the Scriptures, but some distinctive notions are there... 

For instance, the angels... 

There are, nevertheless, both coincidences as differences in how these beings are introduced in the anime series regarding the Bible and is worth clarify that, the Revelation is the Book of the Scriptures which mention these creatures most... 

The angels are presented in this series as seeds, "planted" on the Earth by an extraterrestrial "First Ancestral Race" and described as the origin of the humankind... 

The Bible, on the other hand, introduce the angels as celestial beings, created by GOD before any other thing on the Earth, with a different and independent nature/purpose to that of the humanity, which was also created by GOD in a special manner, completely dissimilar to that of the rest of creation (including the angels themselves)... 

These creatures in the series, come out of nowhere and their ultimate purpose is quite ambiguous, the only thing you can see clearly, is that they are trenchant into attack Tokio-3, where the NERV facilities, along with Gendo Ikari (the carrier of the Adam’s embryo), are "conveniently" sheltered... 

In the Book of Revelation, the angels are messengers of GOD, who firstly preach repentance of our sins and urge to believe in JESUS CHRIST as Lord and Savoir; later they become the instruments of GOD to bring judgment on humanity, because of their disbelief, rebellion and depravity... 

In the Evangelion series, Adam is recognized as the first angel, a giant creature, the progenitor of the third through seventeenth angels who attack NERVE and also the genetic base for all the EVAs, except the Unit-01, which was originated from Lilith, the second angel... 

In the Bible, mostly in the Old Testament, Adam is the first man ever created, just like one of us; in his first state, he had a pure soul, not contaminated by the sin and from him, GOD created Eve, the first woman, who would be his perfect companion, according to the GOD’s purpose... 

Lilith (a.k.a. screech owl), is only mentioned in the Book of the prophet Isaiah (in the Old Testament, Isa 34:14), as part of a list of beasts, but in the jewish mythology and pagan traditions, Lilith is described as a female demon... 

The angels in the anime series are presented as humanoids, with a quite similar DNA pattern to that of the humans, but they can take any form they want; in that sense their appearance/design is quite diverse, pretty much like modern art sculptures, with a physical presence, able to project an energy field (called A.T. field) and other forms of paranormal powers like psychokinetic, levitation and metamorphosis; also they had a power source called S² engine, which give them a cybernetic nature and hence, they can be destroyed physically... 

In the Bible, the angels are spiritual creatures who have no physical essence, but they can take a corporeal form; usually they appear as human beings, but incredibly powerful and they could remain unnoticed until they reveal their true nature; they have soul and will, but their will is not free, they will always make the GOD’s Will and since they are spiritual beings, they could not be destroyed by any physical means... 

I could continue with this interesting comparison, but I limit myself in order to keep a "decent size" in my reviews; however, maybe in future publications I will talk a bit more about it!... 

This is my last publishing regarding the Neon Genesis Evangelion Collection Series made by YAMATO USA quite a while ago. 

Seemingly, there were other series manufactured later, but they came with less accessories and a different presentation (box instead of card, as in this line). 

Just like the other two action figures, already published here and here, this is a 7" figure, based on the EVA-01 Test Type, which was piloted by Shinji Ikari. 

It features 11 points of articulation; the paint job with metallic finishing is purple with accents in lilac, light orange, light green and black with matte finishing; the sculpt as in the other figures is quite satisfying and neat. 

The accessories included with this EVA are: a pallet rifle, a positron cannon, a knife and a feeding plug; also, I forgot to mention that most of these extras could be used along with the other EVAs so, you could have a lot of fun with them "fighting" together... 

Rev 18:1-5 "And after these things, I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying: come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. EVA-00 Proto Type Model (Metallic Paint Version) Action Figure - Neon Genesis Evangelion Collection Vol. 2 by YAMATO USA

Es hora de profundizar de nuevo en esta singular serie de animé llamada: Neon Genesis Evangelion, simplemente porque prometí más publicaciones sobre este tema y yo cumplo mi palabra... 

Mi primera publicación sobre Evangelion (la cual es realmente la quinta sobre este tópico, en mi blog), fue una especie de introducción para esta enigmática serie y esta vez, quiero hablar sobre los Evangelions en sí... 

A diferencia de sus contrapartes en las series de animé de mecas anteriores y contemporáneas, los Evangelions (t.c.c. Arma Humanoide Multipropósito Decisiva y Suprema para Batalla) son humanoides gigantes con poder extraordinario, que permanece latente la mayor parte del tiempo... 

Estos humanoides no tienen alma en absoluto y por tanto, necesitan un piloto humano, quien "suplirá" el control de estos organismos; también tienen una armadura externa, cuya función no era protegerlos, como podría presumirse, sino restringir su poder. 

No está claramente determinado, por qué los pilotos deben ser adolescentes, nacidos después del evento llamado "Segundo Impacto"; lo que si está claro es que ellos deben lograr una compleja sincronización mental con el EVA, para obtener un control máximo. 

Este hecho es paradójico, puesto que cuanto más sincronizado está el piloto con el EVA, más posibilidades para el piloto de experimentar daños tanto mentales como físicos incluso, cuando el EVA está bajo ataque... 

El origen de estos organismos cibernéticos es bastante singular, puesto que fueron genéticamente reproducidos (no clonados, como suele pensarse) por NERV, a partir de muestras del "primer ángel" Adán... 

Está bastante establecido que este animé tiene un montón de influencias, incluso de conceptos, relatos y visiones religiosas; pero lo que es realmente notorio, es la fuerte presencia de conceptos bíblicos / cristianos... 

Muchos fanáticos no estarían de acuerdo con mi percepción y ellos incluso argumentarían extensivamente sobre eso, pero no puedes negar lo que es tan evidente... 

Sin embargo, no estoy diciendo que este animé sea una suerte de apología cristiana o algo por el estilo, ¡NO!... 

Hasta donde sé, Hideaki Anno es un agnóstico y sus creeencias están más cercanas al espiritualismo japonés, el cual está lejos de las doctrinas y creencias bíblicas, como el resto de religiones y como nota al margen: es curioso como el cristianismo es presentado como una religión, cuando la Biblia misma nunca presenta el culto a Dios de esa manera... 

Pero Hideaki tomó muchos conceptos bíblicos, reinterpretándolos y mezclándolos con ideas religiosas, psicoanalíticas, filosóficas y místicas así que, el resultado es simplemente un interesante experimento ficcional... 

En esta historia, por ejemplo, Adán es una especie de ángel caído, la primera semilla enviada por la "Primera Raza Ancestral" a la tierra; una segunda semilla llamada Lilith fue enviada, al parecer por accidente y esto generó el evento llamado "Primer Impacto"... 

Igualmente, el Adán de Anno es un gigante (como los Evangelions hechos genéticamente a partir de él) y extrañamente él aparece crucificado en algunos episodios y también traspasado por la lanza de "Longinus" (la cual es una referencia a la lanza usada por un soldado romano, quien perforó el costado de JESUCRISTO, mientras ÉL estaba en la cruz, con el fin de probar que ya estaba muerto, pero el nombre "Longinus" en sí, es apócrifo)... 

Los Evangelions fueron un proyecto secreto, que debió ser hecho público a causa del primer ataque de un ángel y fue divulgado que su propósito era repeler el ataque de estos poderosos seres... 

Pero ellos eran el núcleo del "Proyecto de Instrumentalidad Humana", cuyo objetivo era crear un ser humano totalmente evolucionado, prácticamente inmortal, extremadamente poderoso, el único existente, puesto que el resto de la humanidad sería absorbida por este ser y los individuos desaparecerían... 

Obviamente Evangelion tiene algunos temas no desarrollados aquí, pero hablaré un poco más sobre esto en publicaciones futuras =OOOOO... 

De vez en cuando, traeré algunos de mis "otros" coleccionables a este lugar, que son tan disfrutables como mis diecast. 

Este es la figura de acción de 7" de alto hecha por YAMATO USA, basado en el EVA-00 Proto Type, que fue piloteado Rei Ayanami. 

Como su contraparte EVA-02 (ya publicado aquí), este presenta 11 puntos de articulación; el trabajo de pintura en azul con acabado metalizado no es el esquema de color original (principalmente amarillo brillante), sino el usado luego que el 00 fue gravemente dañado por el ataque de un ángel y luego reparado... 

¡Luce tremendo de esta forma!... 

Los accesorios incluidos con este EVA son: la lanza de Longinus, una bazuka, una pistola automática, un escudo y el plug de alimentación. 

La presentación es idéntica a la del EVA-02, una tarjeta grande con burbuja transparente, con el respectivo autoadhesivo de licenciado oficial por GAINAX y fue distribuido por Asia Goal Limited de Hong Kong... 

Dan 7:23-27 "Dijo así:  La cuarta bestia será un cuarto reino en la tierra, el cual será diferente de todos los otros reinos, y a toda la tierra devorará, trillará y despedazará. Y los diez cuernos significan que de aquel reino se levantarán diez reyes; y tras ellos se levantará otro, el cual será diferente de los primeros, y a tres reyes derribará. Is time to delve again into this singular anime series named: Neon Genesis Evangelion, just because I promised more publications about this topic and I keep my word... 

My first publication about Evangelion (which is actually the fifth on this topic, in my blog), was a sort of introduction for this enigmatic series and this time, I want to talk about the Evangelions themselves... 

Unlike their counterparts in the previous and contemporary mecha anime series, the Evangelions (a.k.a. Ultimate All-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Battle Weapon) are giant humanoids with extraordinary power, which remain dormant most of the time... 

These humanoids have no soul at all and hence, they need a human pilot, who will "provide" the control of these organisms; also they have an external armor, whose function was not to protect them, as might be presumed, but restrain their power. 

Is not clearly determined why the pilots must be adolescents, born after the event called "Second Impact", what is clear is that they must achieve a complex mental synchronization with the EVA, to gain a maximum control. 

This fact is paradoxical, since the more synchronized is the pilot with the EVA, the more chances for the pilot to experience both mental and even physical injuries, when the EVA is under attack... 

The origin of these cybernetic organisms is quite singular, since they were genetically reproduced (not cloned, as is commomly thought) by NERV, from samples of "the first angel" Adam... 

Is fairly estabished that this anime has a lot of influences, even from religious concepts, stories and visions; but what is really remarkable is the strong presence of Biblical / Christian concepts... 

Many fans of Evangelion would disagree with my perception and they even would argue extensively about that, but you cannot deny what is so evident... 

However, I’m not saying that this anime is a sort of Christian apology or something like that, NO!... 

As far as I know, Hideaki Anno is an agnostic and his beliefs are closer to japanese spiritualism, which is far from the biblical doctrines and beliefs, like the rest of religions and as a side note: it’s curious how Christiany is presented as a religion, when the Bible itself does not present the worship of God in that way... 

But Hideaki took many biblical concepts, reinterpreting and mixing them with religious, psychoanalytical, phylosophical and mystical ideas so, the outcome is just an interesting fictional experiment... 

In this story, for instance, Adam is a sort of fallen angel, the first seed sent by the "First Ancestral Race" to earth; a second seed called Lilith was sent seemingly by accident and it generated the event called "First Impact"... 

Also, the Anno’s Adam is a giant (like the Evangelions made genetically from him) and strangely, he appears crucified in some episodes and also pierced by the spear of "Longinus" (which is a reference to the spear that was used by a roman soldier, who pierced the side of JESUS CHRIST, while HE was on the cross, in order to prove that HE was already dead, but the name "Longinus" itself, is apocryphal)... 

The Evangelions were a secret project, which should be made public because of the first attack of an angel and it was divulged that their purpose was to repel the attack of these powerful beings... 

But they were the core of the "Human Instrumentality Project", whose target was create a human being totally evolved, virtually immortal, extremely powerful, the only one existing, since the rest of humanity would be absorbed by this being and individual would disappear... 

Obviously Evangelion has some topics not developed here, but I will talk a bit more about this in future publications =OOOOO... 

Every now and then, I will bring some of my "other" collectibles to this place, which are as enjoyable as my diecast. 

This is the 7" high action figure made by YAMATO USA, based on the EVA-00 Proto Type, which was piloted by Rei Ayanami. 

As its EVA-02 counterpart (already published here), this one features 11 points of articulation; the blue paint job with metallic finishing is not the original color scheme (mainly bright yellow), but the one used after the 00 was heavily damaged by an angel attack and then repaired... 

It looks terrific this way!... 

The accessories included with this EVA are: the Longinus spear, a bazooka, an automatic gun, a shield and a feeding plug. 

The presentation is identical to that of the EVA-02, a big card with clear bubble, with the respective GAINAX Official Licensed sticker and was distributed by Asia Goal Limited from Hong Kong...
