Dragon Ball Z Collection New Generation Set of 9 by Bandai

Y algunas no vuelven a producirse...

ENGLISH

And I thought that I had no more of them... These are the mistakes that I like to make. I know that "everybody" thinks that Dragon Ball’s gashapons are the most popular and therefore the easiest to get... I would put that into doubt.

Even the more widespread collection figures, one day are not available anymore. And some of them will not be reissued... As a consequence, what looked like a "dejà vu", it ceases to be.

These are particularly rare... And they are from Dragon Ball Z, so I authorize my fans to call me "Myth Buster".

I should mention that they are smaller than normal gashapons, with barely 2 1/2" for the higher piece, they are even smaller than the figures from the set Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Figure and still have a pretty good detail and paint job.

Also they have the additional appeal of their respective circular bases with their own transparent stem to hold them and silver tampos, which reminds me that of the Nendoroid figures. These are the characters included: Dabura, Babidi, (Evil) Boo, Great Saiyaman, Oob, King Kai (North Kai), Gokou, Super Ghost Kamikaze and Gotenks (Super Saiyan 3rd Phase).

Many have taken gasaphon lightly but you are correct that as time goes by, it gets harder to find them and till it reach a point that even you have the money, you might not be able to find other.

absolutely good point Dennis... i remember that many times the fellow collector that imports my figures, showed me a few gashapon sets but i just ignored him... now, it’s really hard (& a lil expensive) to get a pair of gashapon sets, one of them of Evangelion characters & the other one of Toy Story characters & perhaps i’ll not get them anymore...

These figures are really cool, I actually got this set recently. Yours seems to be incomplete though, it's supposed to have a Vegeta. This particular set is one of the 4 French only releases in the Bandai Dragon Ball Z Full Color R Gashapon line, renamed Dragon Ball Z Collection *** for the French releases. There are 9 sets total in this line, this was the sixth set to be released.

Well I had very few information about this set when I got it, I was not even aware that it was indeed an european release or that it included another figure: Vegeta, which seems to be the perfect complement in this assortment...

These gashapons sets, the original ones I mean, not the bootlegs, are really hard to come by locally and the situation was no different at the time I got them... I think I was fortunate to find them with the help of a friend of mine, fellow collector and importer; also, they are anything but cheap, unlike their price in the international market so I’m not planning to get the missing piece, but I’m working into get more sets that will be published in the near future, I hope so... =D

I only knew this information because I seen it on the Dragon Ball Figures website. It's a really cool place with tons of DBZ fans, you should really check it out if you haven't already. I don't blame you for not worrying about the Vegeta, the European releases are super hard to come by. Also it's super cool that your friend helped you find these, collecting is a lot more fun with friends =D
