Pontiac tuvo grandes expectativas desde un principio, después de todo era una gran fabricante de autos...
Una joya en la corona de General Motors, una joya que ya no existe más...
Tan triste como suena, Pontiac es una gran pérdida en el mundo automotriz. Hizo muchos autos icónicos a través de su rutilante historia y uno de ellos es precisamente el famoso Firebird.
Este comparte la misma plataforma con el Camaro, así podemos tener una referencia del tamaño y segmento al que pertenece.
El Coupé Techo Duro Pontiac Firebird de 1969 es un Muscle Car y uno con un diseño de carrocería distintivo y sexi, ofrecido como un coupé / techo duro o convertible / ragtop y desde mi punto de vista personal, una belleza que supera a la del Camaro mismo, especialmente en la primera generación (1967-1969).
Tenía numerosas opciones en el departamento de motores, desde uno de 230 pulgadas cúbicas (3.8 L) OHC 6 cilindros en línea (215 hp) hasta uno de 400 pulgadas cúbicas (6.6 L) V8 (325 hp) con un paquete Ram Air y/o Trans Am disponibles para adicionar al ya excelente desempeño de esta máquina (me hace babear en este mismo momento, ¡YUMI!).
Estamos en frente de otro paso en la dirección correcta de Hot Wheels, con un diecast muy bien detallado y fiel, creado por Dave Weise, me gusta particularmente su trabajo porque no distorsiona demasiado la proporción con respecto a la del auto real, aunque tiene el estilo exagerado de HW en las ruedas traseras.
El trabajo de pintura es lindo y tiene una decoración idéntica a la de la versión de la serie 2010 Muscle Mania, pero a diferencia de esta última, tiene un chasis en plástico negro, el cual no está disponible individualmente (quiero decir, en tarjeta individual)...
Algunas veces la vida trae momentos felices que no siempre están relacionados con artículos o experiencias muy costosas, pero siempre se debe agradecer al Señor de señores, Jesucristo, Quien te da todo, incluyendo nuestra propia vida...

As sad as it sounds, Pontiac is a huge loss in the automotive world. It made many iconic vehicles through its glittering history and one of them is precisely the famous Firebird.
It shares the same platform with the Camaro, so we can have a reference of the size and segment it belongs.
This 1969 Pontiac Firebird Hardtop Coupe is a Muscle Car and one with a sexy and distinctive body design, offered as a coupe / hardtop or convertible / ragtop and from my personal point of view, a beauty that surpass that of the Camaro itself, specially in the first generation (1967-1969).
It has several options in the engines department, from a 230 cu in (3.8 L) OHC I6 (215 hp) to a 400 cu in (6.6 L) V8 (325 hp) with a Ram Air and/or Trans Am packages to add to the already great performance of this machine (it makes me drool at this very moment, YUMI!).
We are in front of another step in the right direction by Hot Wheels, with a nicely detailed and accurate diecast, created by Dave Weise, I like particularly his work because he doesn’t distirt too much the proportion regarding that of the actual car, albeit it has the exaggerated style of HW in the rear wheels.
The paint job is sweet and it has identical decoration with the one of the 2010 Muscle Mania Series version, but unlike the latter, it has a black plastic chassis which is not available individually (I mean, individually carded)...
Sometimes life brings joyful moments and they’re not always related to very expensive items or experiences, but you must thank always to the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, Who gives you everything, including our own life...

1 of the reason I lost interest with Hot Wheels cars is that sometimes they over-exaggerating the rear wheel/tire size of certain cars.
Well, maybe for some of the so called sports muscle car, then maybe its possible and looks OK to have that spec but the problem is sometimes they also did it for other normal cars...
When I Google the picture of that certain particular cars, in reality, they don't necessarily have bigger rear wheel/tires like what Hot Wheels did.
As for this car, I like the black and orange color combo but the interior in silver or chrome color is what I dislike - as expected from Hot Wheels.
By the way the anti spam robot "word verification" on your blog cooment form is pain in the ass.... many times I have to do it for over and over again till I get it correctly... they are times when I just give up... so if next time you didnt see my comments, you know I did visit your page but I have difficulties to post comments.
firstly... HAHAHAHAHA... you must consider the use of a good pair of glasses (like i do) so you can see even those almost-annoying word verification images... is not that hard anyway, but i will consider to change the settings so you can comment more (and more, and more... LOL) THX for the warning...
secondly, i agree that the big rear wheels and chromed interiors are not the cup of tea for all the people, specially for us, i mean adult collectors, but for me the realism is not a big deal all the time when it comes to collectibles and i’m very picky... they look nice here and for your info, you can see bigger rear wheels (and higher/modified rear suspension) in the real life in some dragster models and i’m pretty sure there is a good amount of Firebird dragsters out there...

Man! This car is pretty jerked up from the rear which made it rather unusual and somehow sexy with the black and red paint that come with it. I would prefer the seats not to be chrome for more realism. Seriously, I have not heard of Pontiac branding. Thanx for the lesson...
yeah !!! this guy has a lot of sensuality in its curves and a sexy back as well LOL... i used to dislike the chromed interiors in the Hot Wheels diecast until i realize that this is indeed an extra process, a special coating over the colored resin, a bonus for the same price... of course it looks weird, but HW is adding an extra touch to its diecast and i really don’t mind about it... i will continue introducing the history behind this cars and brands for sure... i’m glad for your loyalty pal !!! =)
yeah... I agree with the sexiness you mentioned..it is just these muscle cars almost look the same. they're confusing if you don't know them well. but is that how it really look? I mean those rear wheels? haha it just reminds me of muscle machines. I have one of those. They're pretty cool.. haha.
I was expecting a JL again from you. I'm glad it's HW's turn to shine now lol.
there are some similarities and some differences as well (not so subtle if you ask me), basically the similarities are in the trunk and the differences in the front and rear (i mean, with the Camaro which have the same platform)... i will make some side by side photo shoots to prove my point... this particular diecast has a zinger/dragster style, which explains the bigger rear wheels and higher rear suspension...
JLs ??? don’t worry pal, there are lots on the way, but as my flag is "variety" this time the turn was for HW and as i announced, there are more diecast brands (including Muscle Machines) and models waiting to be published, so stay tuned... =)
