Ya saben, aún las ideas correctas en el tiempo equivocado pueden ser malas ideas y usualmente ideas grandiosas son subestimadas y/o descartadas, simplemente porque la gente no está preparada para ellas.
Crear una línea premium de diecast para coleccionistas adultos no es una idea nueva.
De hecho, por allá al final los 80s, Matchbox lanzó la Serie World Class (que fue reemplazada por la Serie Premiere Collection después de 1995) con una amplia variedad de autos deportivos / exóticos de todo el mundo.
Eran bien detallados, con mejor trabajo de pintura y rematados por ruedas de caucho, pero su éxito fue modesto en aquella época...
¡En 1990, Majorette decidió hacer su propia apuesta y no cualquiera sino una grande!...
La Serie Deluxe Collection 1000 fue una línea enteramente nueva que esta marca francesa creó para las "grandes ligas" de coleccionistas.
En realidad, para ser justo, es considerada la mejor línea para coleccionistas en escala 1:60 jamás creada.
Para la carrocería, fue usada una resina plástica especial llamada FX700, que no requiere pintura adicional y ofrece un excelente acabado.
Apenas 8 modelos fueron producidos entre 1990 y 1991 que incluyen: Jaguar XJ-SC, Ferrari F40, Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Testarossa, Rolls Royce Corniche II, Mercedes Benz 500 SL y BMW 850i.
¡Lo crean o no, esta preciosa línea fue cancelada porque el mercado de coleccionistas de diecast en pequeña escala no estaba dispuesto a pagar US$5,99 por pieza!...
¡Por favor, eso sería una "miseria" hoy en día y me hace pensar si los coleccionistas por esos días eran tan mezquinos como los ejecutivos de Majorette pensaban o no!...
La mayoría de los coleccionistas recientes no tiene idea acerca de esta línea y estoy bastante seguro que ellos pagarían mucho más de US$5,99 (Majorette, ¿están escuchándome?).
Para bien o para mal, yo soy uno de esos coleccionistas adultos recientes, pero no pagué un solo centavo por esta belleza pues es un viejo regalo de un amigo mío.
El Porsche 911 (930) Carrera Turbo 3.0 de 1977 nunca se vió tan bien como aquí, en esta escala. Venía en un fabuloso empaque, carrocería plástica con chasis metálico, insertos plásticos para las luces delanteras y traseras, llantas de goma labradas con rimes detallados, apertura de puertas con paneles interiores adicionales (que se perdieron aquí, gracias al "trabajo" de uno de mis sobrinos =@@@@@) y en algunos casos apertura del capó, interior extra-detallado y base de exhibición (que está perdida también y hay rayaduras aquí y allá, puesto que no fuí tan cuidadoso como debía =/////)...
En resumidas cuentas, el soberbio nivel de detalle y trabajo de pintura / tampos (que varios fabricantes de diecast Premium en la actualidad, en una escala similar o más grande, envidiarían) estaba / está muy por encima del promedio.
Espero que lo disfruten y aún mejor que eso, espero que ustedes escucharán el llamado del DIOS de la Biblia al arrepentimiento, si valoran en algo su alma...

Have you heard about ideas ahead of their time?...
You know, even the right ideas at the wrong time could be bad ideas and usually great ideas are underestimated and/or discarded, just because the people are not prepared for them.
To create a premium line of diecast for adult collectors is not a new idea.
Indeed back in the end of the 80s, Matchbox released the World Class Series (which was replaced by the Premiere Collection Series after 1995) with a wide selection of exotic / sport cars from all over the world.
They were nicely detailed, with better paint job and topped by rubber tires, but their success was modest at that time...
In 1990, Majorette decided to make its own bet and not any one but a big one!...
The Deluxe Collection Series 1000 was an entirely new line that this french brand created for the "big leagues" of collectors.
Actually, to be fair, is considered the best collectors’ line in 1:60 scale ever created.
For the body, it was used a special plastic resin called FX700, which requires no additional paint and gives an excellent finishing.
Barely 8 models were produced between 1990 and 1991 which include: Jaguar XJ-SC, Ferrari F40, Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Testarossa, Rolls Royce Corniche II, Mercedes Benz 500 SL and BMW 850i.
Believe it or not, this precious line was canceled because the market of small scale diecast collectors was not willing to pay US$5,99 for each piece!...
Come on, that would be a trifle today and it makes me think if the collectors in those days were so petty-minded as the executives in Majorette thought or not!...
Most of the recent collectors have no idea about this line and I’m pretty sure they would pay much more than US$5,99 (Majorette, are you listen to me?).
For better or worse, I’m one of those recent adult collectors, but I didn’t pay a single cent for this beauty since it’s an old gift from a friend of mine.
The 1977 Porsche 911 (930) Carrera Turbo 3.0 never looked this good as here, in this scale.
It came in a great packaging, plastic body with metal chassis, plastic inserts for the head and rear lights, styled rubber tires with detailed wheels, opening doors with additional interior panels (which are missing here, thanks to the "work" of one of my nephews =@@@@@) and in some cases opening hood, extra-detailed interior and display base (which is missing too and there are some scratches here and there, since I was not as careful as i should =/////)...
In a nutshell, the superb level of detail and paint job / tampos (which several Premium diecast manufacturers nowadays, in a similar or even bigger scale, would envy) was / is far above the average.
I hope you enjoy it and better than that, I hope that you will listen to the call of the GOD of the Bible for repentance, if you do value your soul...

The quality of this model is very good, I can see it even by just looking at the picture... I don't mind to get this for my self...
Oh yeah, I finally back into blogging after Goggle/Blogger solve my previous complains but in exchange, I have to change my template layout as well... so yeah, give and take thingy but now its business as usual for Shewsbury Land.
Will need to add all the friends links soon, gotta take sometime to configure this new layout... sigh...
HEHE... yep is a great diecast, a treasure for me, nowadays seriously hard to find and very expensive, i love it !!!... =O

Surely one of the most iconically sexy design that anyone can tell from the look of it. Great diecast there with the define logo. For the smooth chrome paint work and thumbs up paying attention to the under carriage as well. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for...
HEHEHE... i guess you like modern classics !!! =D... when you think in Porsche, the 911 is one of the most (if not the most) relevant in all the portfolio of this brand... actually there is no paint job in the body (except for the tampos) because the FX700 plastic resin itself gives this smooth finish =OOOOO... it’s a wonderful diecast and i’m glad that you liked pal... =)
Yes, the new template is those free/basic/standard template provided by Google/Blogger under the new system. I had pretty hard time even till now in configuring them, I still try to learn and find out how I can add some widgets and links for my friends blog address.... pain in the ass pal... but hopefully I can get it soon.... sigh
