2010 Ford Transit Connect - Compact MPV 2010 City Action Series 2/15 Diecast Scale 1:64 by Matchbox

When I was a kid, a friend from my neighborhood had something that I could not have at that time: a ’67 Ford F-100 pick-up in black by Matchbox.

Man, I wanted it so bad, I could kill for that (so to say LOLOLOL)!...

I clearly remember its sharp details and that everything was metallic (body and chassis), but Matchbox was not available here (except if you had a rich uncle from the United States and you know what I mean...) that was extremely disappointing for me because little cars were my obsession...

Some things have not changed =PPPPP...

This stuff more than anything else, brings back fond memories so I’m really enjoying these publications.

Now that I’m an adult, I managed to grab some of these Matchbox just for the sake of the old good times =D...

I think is not a coincidence to begin with a Ford vehicle, more precisely a 2010 Ford Transit Connect

This is a compact utilitarian panel van designed for the European market, to replace the Escort / Fiesta panel in the segment of delivery, also used as a taxicab or passengers vehicle.

It’s a nice design, built in the platform of the international Ford Focus with diesel, gasoline or electric engines available and assembled in Turkey and Romania.

Matchbox, a direct competitor of Hot Wheels was recently acquired by Mattel, but even sleeping in the same bed, you cannot expect to see MB cloning HW.

Maybe I’m wrong but while Matchbox’s have better casts and interiors, Hot Wheels achieves better decorations. That said, this diecast is a proof of my point of view...

Very accurate regarding the actual car, finely detailed, the wheels have the perfect proportion and look nice, the headlights have a touch of paint but the decor is rather simple... Therefore, I decided to add some details by my own... At the end it has a high score for me.

I think that I have much more than I deserve, so seriously the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Israel is marvelous!... Until next time... =)

More like carrying goods than passengers. Well done stuff by Matchbox which stay true to existing car. Kind of detailed and lime green really stands out.

i think this kind of compact panel vans are not so usual in your country pal (i mean, this brand), but you can see them so often in Europe and also here in America (indeed, not specifically in my country)... obviously it was firstly intended for delivery but on the same platform, with a different finishing and accessories it serves as taxi or passengers van pretty fine, just like the Renault Kangoo or the Citroen Berlingo/Nemo... but something more familiar for you would be a Nissan NV200 which is in the same segment/size... Matchbox continues with its tradition of great diecast for a decent price even now, as a subsidiary of Mattel... =)

hey! it's a new look here. A taxi. Even I haven't seen that it is by Matchbox, I can tell it by it wheels. It's their signature already haha. Great choice you got there. I can say a taxi line of collection is very nice.

for a while i thought you would stop to publish on your blog and comment here... good for the collecting matters that i was wrong =D... oh yeah, some things are slightly changing here, i mean, variety will never change but i’m introducing new elements in my collection and refining my tastes (’cause budget is very limited... LOLOLOLOL)... by the way, i selected this model not precisely because is a taxi, but because is a Matchbox =P... THX for your support too... =)

usually its hard for me to like green but this particular lime green is gorgeous!!! This taxi is good for travellers with lots of bags..... some of Matchbox iitems are indeed better than those Hot Wheels

in matter of colors there are a lot of tastes and i know you love the red, so i know what you mean... the metallic lime green gives this vehicle modernism and vivacity... Matchbox has a long tradition of great diecasts and i think that most of the models of MB are better than the counterparts of HW... in a side by side of a particular model MB will win by far, i’m planning to do precisely some of these side by side or versus to prove my point... =)
