=) ENGLISH I wonder, what it feels like to be a pilot of Funny Cars?...
The first thing that crosses my mind is: you must be totally nuts!...
A quarter mile race inside a Funny Car is a matter of seconds, unlike the F1, Touring Car, Sports-Car, Stock Car or Rally racing, but the risk is the same or even greater...
Most of the races I already mentioned, use cars slightly or moderately modified for their specific purpose.
The Funny Cars, on the other hand, have a vague similarity with the respective showroom models and I’m not talking about what you can see outwardly...
Let me share a little bit more about these monstrosities on wheels...
Something I didn’t mention in my previous post about the Funny Cars (which you can see here), has to do with the fuel used to feed the voracious ultramodified V8 engines inside these vehicles.
The F1 cars, for instance, use basically ordinary gasoline with a better mixture to increase the octanes and hence, reduce the fuel’s trend to ignition / detonation, which is essential in the high-compression engines used in those cars.
But the oil based fuel simply is not enough to unleash the power of these beasts so, these use an alcohol based fuel which is a mixture of 85-90% of nitromethane and 10-15% of methanol.
During a single run, a Funny Car devours something like 57 L of this fuel!...
This mix is highly explosive and that’s why I said that you should be totally nuts to drive a car like that!...
Here we go again with a piece of madness belonging to another Adult line by Hot Wheels, known as Dragstrip Demons.
This line has several examples apparently based on real Funny Cars, but I couldn’t find specific info about this one, except that is based on a 1970 Plymouth Duster.
We are looking at a beautifully detailed model with body / chassis in diecast, realistic rubber tires Real Riders type (you can notice the "funny" contrast between the rear and front tires, but is faithful with regard to the actual cars) and an incredible paint job / tampos, where the tiny sponsors logos are totally legible...
My personal concept about Hot Wheels has changed quite a bit for models like these!...
Gal 2:16-17 "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid."
I don't really fancy drag racing but I do like this die cast scale model you have... I like the fact that you can lift up the chasis to reveal the engine and interior. I love that feature very much!!!!
HEHEHE... THX for beign the first commenting here... for a while i thought that nobody would care LOL... the drag racing are niche competitions so, is understandable that some people like and some don’t, but i seriously love the adrenaline wasted in these races and all the mechanical engineering involved... of course, it’s entertainment but there is a lot of science involved as well... the openable body, yeah, is a great feature and the work on the mold of the engine is a candy eye !!! =)
HEHEHE... it was as fast as 6.29 sec, to be precise LOLOLOLOL !!! a quarter mile in less that seven seconds, is a bit too much !!! the fastest super sport car would be humiliated !!! =OOOOO... well, they were made with that purpose in mind... i love this diecast, i thought that Hot Wheels only could make the average and childish models you can see usually, but i was quite wrong... XDDDDD
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA =D

My alternate blog in WordPress
From now, I will be publishing basically the same contents in both blogs, but for reviews before March 18, 2019, you must read my Blogger blog...
I’m a professional graphic designer and a restful collector, but above all: I’m someone who doesn’t take for granted anything, just because someone else says so. I think this hobby goes way beyond buying stuff here and there: anybody with money can buy collectibles, but not anybody becomes collector by doing so. I think as well that this hobby is, more than anything, about knowledge, about making sense of what happens around us and just like any other kind of knowledge, if it’s devoid of ethics, is worthless. I like to address topics around collectionism, including, but not limited to: history, industry, forums, groups, collectors, distributors, sellers, etc. I’m fully aware that criticism is essential for our hobby: everything is susceptible of improvement and we the collectors demand quality, but the industry around it doesn’t necessarily shares that vision. After all, well-targeted criticism always helps to detect failures and correct them, it’s like critical thinking: it helps you see things as they really are and not just as how they are presented to you. If you are someone who likes to look beyond the surface, welcome, if that is not the case, continue at your own risk...
