ENGLISH I think that it took quite more time for the Japanese car makers to be involved "officially" in the high performance leagues... I already know the polemical of this affirmation, specially if you take it lightly, namely, without knowing my true intention or what will follow this affirmation...
First, let me tell you, that i know about the Toyota 2000 GT, the Celica or the Datsun 2000, 510, 240Z, 300Z, 300ZX or the Mazda Savanna RX-3 or the Nissan Skyline, the GT-R, the Silvia and the list continue...
Brands/models that in the 60s, had cars available ranging from good to very good performance, but these vehicles were not race-ready like the american Muscle Cars from the same period, unless you make some modifications out of factory.
What I mean is that, relatively not so long ago, the japanese car manufacturers decided to offer vehicles ready-to-race from factory (with a rather tempting list of extra accessories, that make you feel like a racing driver!)...
One of them is the Evo (Mitsubishi Evolution) based on the Lancer, a compact car with options of bodywork styles like: 2-door coupe, 2-door hardtop coupe, 4-door sedan and 5-door station wagon.
The first Lancers (a.k.a. A70), back in 1973, were anything but a prodigality of aesthetics (maybe the Mitsubishi Lancer Celeste was salvageable, but the rest... Ughhhhhh!) and the things were not improved as time went by...
In my personal opinion, only from 2007 onwards, the designers / stylists of Mitsubishi took pity on the Lancer and by extension on the Evo, to make them products that deserve to be considered by car enthusiasts, not only by its performance, but by its aggressive and dynamic design.
In 1992, the first Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution saw the light and, since then, every new generation was identified by roman numbers (Evo I, Evo II, Evo III...), nowadays we can see the Evo X (10th generation) on the roads.
It’s a serious contender in the WRC (World Rally Championship) where, thanks to its new features, didn’t need to follow homologation rules.
It was based on the platform of the Lancer Cedia (CT9A), larger than that of the EVO VI and hence, heavier, but some modifications were made to overcome this drawback.
It has an active center differential, a more effective limited-slip differential and a front helical limited-slip differential.
Also the torque was increased to 385 N.m (284 lb.ft), the airflow inside the engine was improved and the rest remained almost the same.
Something unprecedented was the inclusion of the GT-A model, a more civilized and luxurious version of the Evo VII, with a 5-speed automatic gearbox featuring "fuzzy logic" (a gearbox which "learns" about your driving behaviour), a cleaner hood design (without air grills), sound deadening, 3 options for the interiors and you could dispense with the rear spoiler.
The engine is a 4G63, Inline 4, front transversely mounted, 2.0 L, 122 cu in, DOCH, Turbo, Fuel Injection, rated at 276 hp, 4WD and a top speed of 180 km/h...
The top speed is not so impressive, but is really funny and demanding to drive!...
This model I’m publishing, is a sample of the SS Tuner Series by Muscle Machines.
As you can expect of this brand, at least when it was independent, the work on this model is remarkable, although this line doesn’t include a trading card (like the Import Tuner Series).
The level of detail is really good, the paint job in apple green polychrome is rich and sumptuous, the tampos are precious and include the interiors (in the dashboard, the center console, the seats and the audio system), the rear spoiler (which could have a better look using a different type of plastic), the windshield and below the chassis.
There is openable hood with detailed and chrome / painted engine which looks fabulous, low profile rubber tires with racing chromed wheels and independent chrome exhaust!...
By the way, I was visiting the new Muscle Machines website (now part of Maisto) and surprisingly there was no hint about these Import Tuner and SS Tuner lines, neither of the Monster Garage / Jesse James lines of 1:64 scale diecast so, there are bad news for the fans of those lines (me included), because the availability will be an issue and hence, the prices will go throught the roof...
By the moment, I will take care of mines... =DDDDD
Psa 50:17-23 "Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Now consider this, ye that forget GOD, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of GOD."
i die with envy, pal... LOL... these models, in the street version (not the rally one) were available in the Mitsubishi dealers of my country... unfortunately, the products imported from Japan have a heavy burden of taxes and hence, the prices are very expensive compared with similar cars from America... by the way, i love this model too !!! =)

From now, I will be publishing basically the same contents in both blogs, but for reviews before March 18, 2019, you must read my Blogger blog...
I’m a professional graphic designer and a restful collector, but above all: I’m someone who doesn’t take for granted anything, just because someone else says so. I think this hobby goes way beyond buying stuff here and there: anybody with money can buy collectibles, but not anybody becomes collector by doing so. I think as well that this hobby is, more than anything, about knowledge, about making sense of what happens around us and just like any other kind of knowledge, if it’s devoid of ethics, is worthless. I like to address topics around collectionism, including, but not limited to: history, industry, forums, groups, collectors, distributors, sellers, etc. I’m fully aware that criticism is essential for our hobby: everything is susceptible of improvement and we the collectors demand quality, but the industry around it doesn’t necessarily shares that vision. After all, well-targeted criticism always helps to detect failures and correct them, it’s like critical thinking: it helps you see things as they really are and not just as how they are presented to you. If you are someone who likes to look beyond the surface, welcome, if that is not the case, continue at your own risk...
