Mientras que las mujeres promedio se enloquecen por los tacones, carteras, pendientes o 50 sombras de brasieres blancos (porque incluso si tienen montones de ellos, la palabra "suficiente" es una "vieja herejía punible", cuando se trata del guardarropa de las mujeres y seremos condenados al ostracismo o considerados como piojosos cavernícolas, en caso de desacuerdo)...
Nosotros, los representantes del género masculino, con el fin de inclinar la balanza, somos más propensos a enloquecernos por los autos y eso está muy bien, ¡el mundo funciona mejor de esa forma =PPPPP!...
La industria automotriz lo sabe muy bien y por eso es que hay un universo completo de vehículos, para atender cualquier gusto o necesidad que podrías imaginar, pero ¿quién dijo que esto fuera suficiente para nosotros?...
La mentalidad tradicional dice que las mujeres son complicadas y los hombres simples: bien, eso funciona en ciertos niveles o situaciones, pero cuando se trata de los entusiastas de los coches, no estamos conformes con las opciones de fábrica ¿o si?...
Sin embargo, la industria automotriz lo sabe también y por eso las divisiones especiales son creadas por los fabricantes de carros más reputados alrededor del mundo, para ofrecer aún más opciones a aquellos que quieren sobresalir y tienen el dinero para pagar sus arrebatos de exclusividad...
Mercedes Benz tiene su división AMG, BMW tiene su división M, Audi tiene su división Sport & Performance, Renault tiene su división RST, Dodge tiene su división SRT, General Motors tiene su división Chevrolet Performance y Ford, bueno, tiene su división SVT.
El segmento de las partes de alto rendimiento junto con el de los vehículos a pedido, estaban a cargo de empresas privadas, usualmente conformadas por ex diseñadores o ingenieros de las compañías más grandes o constructores de autos independientes, creando productos para un nicho de mercado; pero debido a la demanda creciente, los productores de coches "oficiales" decidieron tomar control de este lucrativo negocio y las divisiones especiales mencionadas anteriormente nacieron.
El Equipo de Vehículos Especiales -EVE- (SVT por sus siglas en inglés) de Ford, ha existido desde 1993 y ha estado involucrado en varios proyectos que se convierten en vehículos de producción limitada, principalmente basados en modelos como las camionetas pickup F-100 / F-150, el Mustang, el Focus o el Shelby GT500 moderno.
Justo como en otras divisiones especiales, SVT trabaja duro para desarrollar coches con rendimiento más alto que los modelos regulares, los cuales van acompañados a menudo por trabajos de pintura exclusivos, gráficos, insignias y accesorios extra, para una pinta distintiva.
Pero ellos además desarrollan vehículos prácticamente desde cero, como el modelo que estoy publicando hoy: una salvaje Camioneta Off-Road Ford F-150 SVT Raptor de 2010...
Este vehículo es parte de la duodécima generación de la Serie F de Ford, en vigencia desde 2009, hasta nuestros días; la línea tiene un diseño exterior inspirado en la Serie Super Duty, las pickups Ford más grandes y más pesadas, correspondientes a los modelos F-250 al F-550, logrando una apariencia mucho más robusta.
No obstante, la Raptor, construida sobre la plataforma de la F-150, tiene un diseño diferente que, en mi opinión, es más agresivo y configuración de carrocería SuperCab / SuperCrew de 4 puertas; además, fue altamente modificada para un uso dedicado off-road de alto desempeño.
Estas modificaciones incluyen: amortiguadores de derivación interna Fox Racing Shox con depósitos externos, los cuales permiten un recorrido de suspensión de 11.2" al frente y 12.1" atrás; diferencial de bloque trasero con relación de engranaje 4.10:1, llantas BFGoodrich Todo Terreno TA/KO 315/70-17 de 35" y, obviamente, gráficos especiales...
¡Pero todas estas características espléndidas son apoyadas por un enorme motor de 379 pulgadas cúbicas, 6.2 L, 2V Boss V8, clasificado en 411 hp y acoplado a una transmisión automática de 6 velocidades!...
¡Definitivamente necesitamos más de estas ideas locas y geniales a nuestro alrededor!...
En mi búsqueda de más camionetas pickup, vagonetas, camiones y vehículos relacionados para mi colección, me he encontrado con la grata sorpresa que, productores de diecast como Hot Wheels, han estado desarrollando y lanzando algunos modelos buenos y necesarios recientemente, lo que son buenas noticias para los amantes de dicho tipo de réplicas.
Esta vez traje un modelo que debutó en 2010, junto con el vehículo real, en la Serie HW Premiere.
Por supuesto, Hot Wheels le dió su "toque personal", añadiendo masividad al molde de por sí grande, incluyendo guardafangos ensanchados adelante y atrás, protector del bómper frontal y barra antivuelco del platón reforzados (más como una jaula de seguridad), un juego de luces exploradoras sobre el techo, suspensiones más altas y ruedas más grandes.
A primera vista, parece un modelo "no licenciado", por causa de la forma en que fue apodado: Sandblaster y no Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, pero la parte trasera de las tarjetas de este artículo tiene la insignia de "Producto Licenciado por Ford"; desafortunadamente, no hay mención del diseñador involucrado en la creación de este modelo.
Conseguí cuatro versiones de la Sandblaster, que describiré de inmediato...
La primera pertenece a la Serie HW Premiere, parte de las líneas Regulares y una de las cuatro variantes disponibles para 2010; presenta carrocería en diecast y chasis en plástico negro, los interiores son plateados, como el protector del bómper y la jaula de seguridad en el platón, las ventanas son transparentes; el trabajo de pintura fue hecho en blanco con acabado satinado y una mezcla de camuflado en escala de grises y líneas como decoración, sobre las puertas y los guardafangos traseros; las ruedas plásticas tienen diseño de rimes Off-Road 6 Spoke con adorno blanco y fue hecha en Malasia.
La segunda versión pertenece a la Serie HW Performance, parte también de las líneas Regulares y la recibí como regalo; tiene la misma configuración de carrocería y chasis, pero el último es gris oscuro, los interiores son negros, como el protector de bómper y la jaula de seguridad en el platón, con ventanas transparentes; el trabajo de pintura en gris satinado es complementado por una decoración racing grandiosa, con K&N como la estrella de los patrocinadores, y además Hot Wheels, Pennzoil, Holley, Bell y Hurst, en blanco, naranja y rojo; las ruedas son plásticas con diseño de rimes Off-Road 5 Spoke en rojo metalizado y fue fabricada en Malasia igualmente.
La tercera pertenece a la Serie Code Cars, incluída en la Línea Principal; presenta carrocería en diecast y chasis en plástico negro, los interiores son plateados, como el protector del bómper, pero la jaula de seguridad en el platón es verde claro y las ventanas son ahumadas; la pintura fue trabajada en naranja con acabado brillante y el tema racing fue explorado aquí con un lindo resultado, en verde, plateado, blanco y negro; las ruedas son plásticas, presentando diseño Off-Road 6 Spoke para los rimes, con adorno en verde metalizado y de nuevo fue hecha en Malasia.
La versión final pertenece a la (Nostalgia) Serie Off-Road Hot Wheels Racing, parte de las líneas Adultas; presenta carrocería y chasis en diecast, los interiores son plateados, como el protector de bómper y la jaula de seguridad en el platón, mientras las ventanas son transparentes; el trabajo de pintura fue hecho en azul índigo Metalflake, con tampos feroces en el capó, paneles laterales y las luces exploradoras en el techo, incluyendo patrocinadores como Hurst, Elbach, Hays y Lakewood como decoración, en rojo, blanco, negro y plateado; las ruedas son multiparte con rimes de diseño Preferred Series cromados, llantas en caucho Off-Road Real Riders, presentando tampos BFGoodrich en blanco y fue fabricado en Tailandia... =DDDDD

However, the automotive industry knows it as well and that’s why the special divisions are created by the most reputable carmakers around the world, to offer even more options for those who want to excel and have the bucks to pay their outbursts of exclusivity...

The Special Vehicle Team (SVT) of Ford, has been around since 1993 and it has been involved in several projects that become limited production vehicles, mainly based on models like the F-100/150 pickup trucks, the Mustang, the Focus or the modern Shelby GT500.
Just like other special divisions, SVT works hard to develop cars with higher performance than the regular models, which are often accompanied by exclusive paint jobs, graphics, badges and extra accessories for a distinctive look.
But they also develop vehicles virtually from the scratch, like the model I’m publishing today: a wild 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Off-Road Truck...
This vehicle is part of the twelfth generation of the Ford F-Series, in force since 2009 until today; the line has an exterior design inspired in the Super Duty Series, the larger and heavier Ford pickups, corresponding to the F-250 to F-550 models, achieving a much more robust appearance.
Nonetheless, the Raptor, built on the platform of the F-150, has a different design that, in my opinion, is more aggressive and SuperCab / SuperCrew 4-door body configuration; also, it was heavily modified for a dedicated high performance off-road use.
These modifications include: Fox Racing Shox internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs, which allow for 11.2" of suspension travel in front and 12.1" in the rear; rear locking differential with 4.10:1 gear ratio, 35" BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA/KO 315/70-17 tires and obviously, special graphics...
But all these gorgeous features are supported by a humongous 379 cu in, 6.2 L, 2V Boss V8 engine, rated at 411 hp and coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission!...
Definitely we need more of these crazy and cool ideas around us!...
In my quest for more pickup trucks, vans, rigs and related vehicles for my collection, I have found the pleasant surprise that diecast makers like Hot Wheels, have been developing and releasing some good and necessary models recently, which are good news for the lovers of such type of replicas.
This time I brought a model that debuted in 2010, along with the actual vehicle, in the HW Premiere Series.
Of course, Hot Wheels gave it its "personal touch", adding massiveness to the already big cast, including flared fenders and fro, beefed up front bumper guard and rollbar on the bed (more like a roll cage), a set of scouts lights on top, higher suspensions and bigger wheels.
At first sight, it looks like an "unlicensed" model, because of the way it was dubbed: Sandblaster and not Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, but the back of the cards of this item has the badge of "Ford Licensed Product"; unfortunately, no mention is made about the designer involved in the creation of this model.
I got four versions of the Sandblaster, that I will describe right away...
The first one belongs to the HW Premiere series, part of the Regular lines and one of the four variants available for 2010; features diecast body and black plastic chassis, the interiors are silver, as the bumper guard and the roll cage on the bed, the windows are clear; the paint job was made in white with satin finishing and a mix of gray scale camo and lines as decoration, on the doors and the rear fenders; the plastic wheels have the Off-Road 6 Spoke design for the rims, with white trim and it was made in Malaysia.
The second version belongs to the HW Performance Series, part as well of the Regular lines and I received it as gift; it has the same configuration of body and chassis, but the latter is dark gray, the interiors are black, as the bumper guard and the roll cage on the bed, with clear windows; the paint job in satin gray is complemented by a great racing decoration, with K&N as the star of the sponsors and also Hot Wheels, Pennzoil, Holley, Bell and Hurst, in white, orange and gray; the wheels are plastic with Off-Road 5 Spoke rims design in metallic red and it was manufactured in Malaysia likewise.
The third one belongs to the Code Cars Series, included in the Mainline; features diecast body with black plastic chassis, the interiors are silver, as the bumper guard, but the roll cage on the bed is light green and the windows are smoked; the paint was worked in orange with glossy finishing and the racing theme is explored here with a nice outcome, in green, silver, white and black; the wheels are plastic, featuring Off-Road 6 Spoke design for the rims, with metallic green trim and again it was made in Malaysia.
The final version belongs to the (Nostalgia) Offroad Hot Wheels Racing Series, part of the Adult lines; features diecast body and chassis, the interiors are silver, as the bumper guard and the roll cage on the bed, while the windows are clear; the paint job was made in Metalflake indigo blue with ferocious tampos on the hood, side panels and the scouts lights on top, including sponsors as Hurst, Elbach, Hays and Lakewood as decoration, in red, white, black and silver; the wheels are multipart with chrome Preferred Series rims design, Off-Road Real Riders rubber tires, featuring white BFGoodrich tampos and it was manufactured in Thailand... =DDDDD

The Sandblaster has got a nice design, I would say unconventional for off road pick-up truck, in a way it look rather stylish. those beefed up parts like bars and lights added more life to the vehicle and I especially like the grey camo scheme for urban militarized used. Would be even nicer if HW had painted those bars and floodlights.
i must confess that basically in the latest generation of Ford pickup trucks, you can see an incredible improvement in the overall design and without discrediting the work of other companies in this segment, i think that the outcome of the Ford products related, is the best so far... the additional detailing of the scouts lights you mentioned, is only present in the last version, which belongs to an adult line... i think you already know something about the kinda annoying policy of Hot Wheels of cost reduction at any cost, hence, you will not see those extra touches in the regular lines, unless HW stops being so greedy !!!... =/
