=) ENGLISH There was a time when the "ordinary people", like you and me (...although some persons are more "ordinary" than "people"), could talk familiarly with the big manufacturers of cars.
It was a time when, if you had a great idea, you could share it with the right person in those companies and usually your dreams came true.
•"OK, folk... I want something that allows me visit my hateful cousins and spray them with bullets until they leave their home and then, spray them with a flamethrower so they will gladly apologize for their pranks!" o___X...
Well, not like that precisely, but sort of...
Now seriously, in 1932 a Ford subsidiary in Australia received a letter from a wife of a farmer in Victoria, asking for "a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry our rhinos to market on Mondays” (change the "rhinos" by "pigs" and you got the official version).
And guess what!...
Lew Bandt, an australian Ford designer, created the first coupe utility (utilitarian would sound better indeed) in 1934.
•"But why you’re talking about Ford when you’re publishing something by Chevrolet?"...
•• Shut up and continue the reading!...
In 1957, Ford revived the coupe utilitarian concept and released the Ranchero in U.S.A. boosting again this segment of vehicles, successful enough to "move the water" in the car industry.
The Chevy answer did not take so long and in 1959 was released the El Camino model.
Although the first models were based in the Chevelle platform, for the fifth generation changed to the Malibu platform, growing a bit in size.
I mean, this car (coupe utilitarian) looks really good and deserves something much, much better than the standard 229 cu in, 3.8 L, Chevy V6 engine rated at 115 hp.
Even the "top of the line" option of a 350 cu in, 5.7 L, small-block V8 engine, rated at 170 hp seems like something for a RC vehicle, if you know what I mean...
The fans of this model know it and fortunately there is room enough to put a big-block V8 and erase the potential rivals on the way.
I came back with something else from the Treasure Hunts Series, designed by Jun Imai.
The work on this model is quite satisfactory, starting from the casting itself which is very accurate and detailed, continuing with a bright yellow paint job, topped by a black decor with flames and finishing with a diecast body / chassis construction, Lowrider style and sporty wheels design.
This is the kind of features I look for in a collectible and sometimes the TH Series hit in the right place, as in this case.
Mat 5:21-22 "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not kill and whosoever shall kill, shall be in danger of the judgment. But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother Raca, shall be in danger of the council; but whosoever shall say thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."
XDDDDD
oh yeah !!! a cocky farmer with style and seriously yellow combines with vegetables XDDDDD... also it would be really helpful for a butcher like me, you know, a cow or a rhino or a even bunch of zombies need room to go LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL...
Striking yellow and latino flame for flamboyant style. The thing I feel is not very practical is the hump on the rear compartment. Can't really put much stuff though.
now that you mentioned, yep it looks a tad "chicano flow", probably due to the lowrider style, which is pretty fine for me... and the humps on the bed, well in the actual model these are not that big, there is enough space for some groceries indeed LOL... but this HW model looks like something modified for drag racing, and the rear wheels are huge so they need some room, i guess that explain the bigger size... you can’t go shopping with style any better than this way, pal... XD =)

My alternate blog in WordPress
From now, I will be publishing basically the same contents in both blogs, but for reviews before March 18, 2019, you must read my Blogger blog...
I’m a professional graphic designer and a restful collector, but above all: I’m someone who doesn’t take for granted anything, just because someone else says so. I think this hobby goes way beyond buying stuff here and there: anybody with money can buy collectibles, but not anybody becomes collector by doing so. I think as well that this hobby is, more than anything, about knowledge, about making sense of what happens around us and just like any other kind of knowledge, if it’s devoid of ethics, is worthless. I like to address topics around collectionism, including, but not limited to: history, industry, forums, groups, collectors, distributors, sellers, etc. I’m fully aware that criticism is essential for our hobby: everything is susceptible of improvement and we the collectors demand quality, but the industry around it doesn’t necessarily shares that vision. After all, well-targeted criticism always helps to detect failures and correct them, it’s like critical thinking: it helps you see things as they really are and not just as how they are presented to you. If you are someone who likes to look beyond the surface, welcome, if that is not the case, continue at your own risk...
