Algunas veces no entiendo realmente las políticas / estrategias de los fabricantes de automóviles... Sin embargo, una vez pienso en ello de nuevo, en términos de "dinero", el asunto se torna más claro.
En negocios, no tomas decisiones basado en emociones, gustos o siquiera en la reacción posible del consumidor final...
NO, lo que tienes en mente es: "¿esto va a producir MÁS dinero?"...
Sí la respuesta es si, ahí lo tienes, de otra forma, se acabó.
Cuando estuve investigando sobre el vehículo que estoy publicando esta vez, lo que encontré un poquitín "fuera de lugar" es que este modelo, el Acura RSX, tuvo una vida muy corta en el mercado.
Bueno, esto no sonaría extraño, de no ser por el hecho que éste fue un sólido vendedor y a pesar de eso, fue descontinuado.
¿Tiene algún sentido para tí?...
Probablemente no, pero esta es la forma como funciona el mundo de la industria automotriz; también la razón por la cual marcas con una larga o corta vida de éxito, desaparecen...
A pesar del desacuerdo o disgusto de los usuarios finales, de los vehículos que ellos hacen: nosotros...
Acura es la división de lujo de Honda (bastante similar a Infinity en Nissan, Maybach en Mercedes-Benz, etc.) y está funcionando desde 1986.
Es una marca fuertemente orientada al mercado de E.E.U.U. y por lo tanto, con una clara propensión al "gigantismo".
Esta tendencia tuvo que ser revisada, porque las ventas cayeron notablemente en la segunda mitad de los 90s.
La marca revivió en los 2000s, gracias a una extensa revisión de los diseños y la introducción de nuevos modelos.
Parte de esa nueva etapa es el Coupé Deportivo Compacto de Lujo Acura RSX Type S de 2002 (t.c.c. Honda Integra DC5 fuera de los Estados Unidos) el cual tuvo una vida muy corta, apenas 4 años.
Este vehículo está en una liga similar a la del Honda Civic Si, el cual eventualmente lo reemplazó porque según los ejecutivos de la marca: "este (el RSX) no se ajusta dentro de los límites de la estrategia de mercado reestructurada de Acura"...
¡Suena para mí como mentiras descaradas!... Probablemente no podían tener la ganacia esperada, así que simplemente lo retiraron, eso es todo...
El RSX tiene un diseño muy agradable, quizás un tris "estándar", pero allí es donde yace su potencial para la personalización y una de las razones por la que es un favorito entre los entusiastas de la conducción.
Las otras razones están principalmente dentro de su carrocería: motor K20Z1, 2.0 L, DOHC I4 i-VTEC, clasificado en 201 hp, transmisión manual de 6 velocidades, suspensión deportiva afinada, asientos deportivos con detalles en cuero, sistema de sonido Bose / Acura...
Aún para un vehículo de tracción delantera, suena como algo estilizado y poderoso para mí. =OOOOO
No se qué pasará con Muscle Machines, que fue un fabricante independiente de diecast hasta que May Cheong Group, dueña de Maisto, la compró...
Pero una cosa sí sé: el nivel de calidad en los modelos de Maisto, deja mucho que desear.
Si eres un fanático de Maisto, bien por tí, sin resentimientos... En cuanto a mí, prefiero pagar más por otra cosa...
La pieza que estoy reseñando hoy, pertenece a la época previa a la adquisición así que, creo que tiene un estatus "especial".
Hasta donde sé, Muscle Machines tenía un equipo grandioso de diseñadores de diecast y mirando el producto en sí, no podría pensar de otra forma.
El molde es genial y lleno de detalles, carrocería en diecast con chasis plástico, trabajo de pintura excelente y sobrio, complementado por extensivos y precisos tampos, dentro, fuera, arriba y abajo, y todo muy bien hecho.
Apertura de capó con motor cromado y pintado, una tarjeta de colección increíble, rimes cromados y deportivos con llantas de bajo perfil en caucho, exhosto cromado y la opción de modificación personal, porque tiene tornillos en vez de remaches...
¿Podrías pedir algo más?...

Even for a front wheel drive vehicle, it sounds like something stylish and powerful for me. =OOOOO
I don’t know what will happen with Muscle Machines, which was an independent diecast manufacturer brand until may Cheong Group, owner of Maisto purchased it...
But one thing I do know: the level of quality in the models by Maisto, leaves much to be desired.
If you’re a Maisto fan, good for you, no hard feelings... As for me, I prefer to pay more for something else...
The piece I’m reviewing today, belongs to the pre-acquisition era so, I think it has a "special" status.
As far as I know, Muscle Machines had a great team of diecast designers and looking at the product itself, I couldn’t think otherwise.
The casting is great and plenty of details, diecast body with plastic chassis, excellent and sober paint job complemented by extensive and accurate tampos, inside, outside, up and down, and everything very well done.
Opening hood with chrome and painted engine, an incredible trading card, chrome and sporty wheels with low profile rubber tires, chrome exhaust and the option of your personal customization, because it has screws instead of rivets...
Could you ask for something else?...

The toy is really well built and charming with all aspects covered. Exterior and interior... Go get more of these toyline. Yummy good..
HEHEHE... i guess it’s the kind of cars to which you are used, in the end Japan is quite nearer for you than for me, LOL... Muscle Machines has created an army of fans (me included) and has both american muscle cars and japanese sport cars... incredibly some muscle car models are harder to get than the import tuners... i wish i could get more and more of them, from the pre-Maisto era, but they’re hard to get and pricey... however, i still have a few unpublished, so stay tuned, pal... =)
Yup, these are the type of cars that's more frequently seen on the road at my country.
the Acura luxury division has a very good reputation in all the countries where is marketed, as far as i know... it has the backing of Honda and well, the japanese car industry has a strong presence in the asian countries, which is very understandable... =)
Acura/Honda - one of my favorite brand - as well as Muscle Machine... this is a nice representation of the car in American market.
i thought it would come with right steering wheel, but since this brand (Acura) is aimed for the U.S. market, this configuration is correct as well... Muscle Machines has great diecast, i love them, but this old versions became harder to get and now is virtually a cult brand... i will take care of mines, for sure !!! =)

lástima jefe que ahora se van a volver más escasos todavía... yo sé por qué se lo digo... ya sabe, yo ando en la milicia coleccionista, claro está sin ser friki ni tostao... todavía me conecto con la realidad y ando en la jugada... mucho ojo con los suyos, cuídelos y si se le enrredan, les puede dar vitrina por estos lares, mono... =)
