La pantalla cinematográfica ha dado representatividad e intemporalidad, no solo a eventos e historias (reales y ficticias), personajes, directores, productores, bandas sonoras, etc... 

Si miras cuidadosamente al "gran cuadro", hay otros "personajes secundarios" que son descuidados con frecuencia por algunos cinéfilos y estoy hablando sobre los vehículos creados para o usados en la películas que nos encantan... 

Por ejemplo, hay una saga de filmes basados en un personaje creado por Ian Lancaster Fleming: James Bond. 

Estas cintas hicieron famosas las aventuras del agente del MI6, conocido por su personalidad arrolladora, fino humor, extraordinaria perspicacia, legendario encanto con las mujeres y mente abierta cuando se trata de usar artilugios... 

No mucho que decir sobre sus coches en este preciso momento, porque fueron principalmente Aston Martin con pocas excepciones, que serán comentadas en publicaciones futuras. 

Pero cuando se trata de los autos de sus coprotagonistas y antagonistas, las opciones son bastante interesantes y hoy verán una de ellas. 

La película On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (Al Servicio Secreto de su Majestad), lanzada en 1969, fue una cinta única en su tipo en la saga por varias razones como... 

Por primera y única vez, George Lanzenby, un actor australiano, personificó a Bond y aunque es el mismo agente secreto de filmes anteriores y posteriores, fue una versión más dependiente y vulnerable de este personaje, algo nunca antes visto. 

También el rol extraordinario de la chica Bond, interpretada soberbiamente por Diana Rigg como Theresa "Tracy" Di Vicenzo, quien es realmente la estrella en esta película. 

Y el carro usado por ella, en una frenética persecución (marca registrada en la saga Bond): un singular y precioso Mercury Cougar XR-7 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air Convertible de 1969. 

No verás un vehículo como ese muy seguido en esta serie de películas. 

Esta fue la visión de Ford para un Muscle Car lujoso y bien parecido, también 1969 fue el primer año cuando un descapotable fue ofrecido para este modelo y hoy en día es considerado uno de los Cougars más deseados jamás producidos. 

El diseño de carrocería es audaz, robusto, sexy y grita alto desempeño, pero no es simplemente una "belleza hueca", ¡NO!... 

Dentro de la bella, había una bestia seria, un motor de 428 pulgadas cúbicas, 7.0 L, FE Cobra Jet V8, el cual junto con el paquete Ram Air (entrada de aire funcional en el capó) y un carburador Holley de cuatro barriles, ¡podía presumir 410 hp!... 

Diría que es suficiente para barrer el pavimento con algunos pretenciosos... 

Johnny Lightning ha hecho algunas asociaciones fructíferas con producciones de cine y series de TV por igual, afortunadamente he sido capaz de traer algunos ejemplos a mi humilde blog para nuestro disfrute. 

Esta serie particular presenta los convertibles conducidos por algunas exquisitas chicas Bond, celebrando el 40º Aniversario del 007 (en 2002) y obviamente la presentación es de primera categoría, ya sea en los boxsets o en las tarjetas individuales hechas para ellos. 

El modelo en sí es realmente lindo y bastante detallado. 

Sin embargo, carece del deflector trasero, la entrada de aire Ram Air del capó y los delicados gráficos en negro en la mitad del capó, presentes en el auto real. 

Incluso la carrocería podría ser más rojiza y el diseño de los rimes es algo genérico, lo cual es una lástima, porque de hecho Johnny Lightning tiene el modelo correcto disponible... 

En el resto de los aspectos, el modelo representa bastante bien este espléndido Muscle Car. 

Tiene carrocería y chasis en diecast, excelente proporción, presenta apertura de capó con motor detallado y un toque de color, trabajos de pintura y tampografía grandiosos, interiores negros llenos de detalles, llantas de caucho con rimes cromados (multiparte) y ¿qué más podría decir?... 

¡Bueno, chicas, acción, peligro y autos imponentes son una combinación perfecta siempre!...

The silver screen has given representativeness and timeslessness, not only to events and stories (real and fictitious), characters, directors, producers, soundtracks, etc... 

If you look carefully to the "big picture", there are other "supporting characters" which are often neglected by some moviegoers and I’m talking about the vehicles and cars created for or used in the movies we love... 

For instance, there is a saga of films based in a character created by Ian Lancaster Fleming: James Bond. 

These movies made famous the adventures of the MI6 agent, known by his overwhelming personality, fine humor, extraordinary insight, legendary charm with women and open mind with it comes to the use of gadgets... 

Not much to say about his cars at this very moment, because they were mainly Aston Martin with few exceptions, which will be commented in future publications. 

But when it comes to the cars of his costars and antagonists, the choices are quite interesting and today you will see one of them. 

The film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, released in 1969, was a one of a kind movie in the saga for many reasons like... 

For one and only time, George Lanzenby, an australian actor, personified Bond and although is the same secret agent of previous and subsequent films, he was a version more dependent and vulnerable of this character, something never seen before. 

Also the extraordinary role of the Bond girl, played superbly by Diana Rigg as Theresa "Tracy" Di Vicenzo, who is actually the star in this movie. 

And the car she used in a hectic chase (trade mark in the Bond saga): a singular and precious 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air Convertible. 

You will not see a vehicle like that so often in this series of movies. 

This was the vision of Ford for a luxurious and handsome Muscle Car, also 1969 was the first year when a soft top was offered for this model and nowadays is considered one of the most desirable Cougars ever produced. 

The body design is bold, robust, sexy and yells high performance, but it’s not just a "hollow beauty", NO!... 

Inside the beauty, there was a serious beast, a 428 cu in, 7.0 L, FE Cobra Jet V8 engine, which along with the Ram Air package (functional hood scoop) and a Holley four barrels carburetor, could boast 410 hp!... 

I would say it’s enough to sweep the pavement with some pretentious... 

Johnny Lightning has made some fruitful partnerships with film productions and TV Series equally, fortunately I have been able to bring some samples to my humble blog for our enjoyment. 

This particular series features the convertibles driven by some exquisite Bond girls, celebrating the 007’s 40th Anniversary (in 2002) and obviously the presentation is top notch, either in the boxsets or in the individual cards made for them. 

The model itself is really nice and fairly detailed. 

However, it lacks of the rear spoiler, the Ram Air hood scoop and the delicate black graphic in the middle of the hood, present in the actual car. 

Even the body color could be more reddish and the wheels design is kinda generic, which is a pity, because in fact Johnny Lightning has the right model available... 

In the rest of aspects, the model depicts pretty fine this gorgeous Muscle Car. 

It has diecast body and chassis, excellent proportion, features opening hood with detailed engine and a touch of color, great paint and pad printing jobs, black interiors full of details, rubber tires with chrome wheels (multipart) and what else I could say?... 

Well, girls, action, danger and awesome cars are always a perfect combination!...
