El ser humano ha sido dotado con un don increíble: la imaginación... Sólo una de las cosas que nos hacen únicos en toda la creación.
Yo sé que muchas personas piensan que la humanidad es apenas otra clase de animales y eso tiene mucho sentido para ellos, pero yo no he escuchado (y en serio, no pienso que eso pase jamás...) que los animales tengan tal don...
Y ahora que estoy hablando de imaginación, esta es una publicación sobre otro personaje ficticio creado por la mente prolífica de Brian Pulido y los formidables trazos de Steven Hughes: Lady Death.
Esta chica, a pesar de su apariencia, tiene poco de dama (extremadamente hermosa y voluptuosa) y bastante de muerte (¡la mujer más destructiva que haya visto en el mundo del cómic!).
Brevemente presentada en mi publicación de Cremator, este personaje de la edad media fue una chica "bastante promedio", hija de Matthias un noble (también hechicero de "medio tiempo") y Marion una aristócrata con legado vikingo.
Su nombre: Hope, no tiene nada que ver con el resto de su historia, plagada de sangre, guerra, engaño, traición y venganza.
Después de haber sido acusada de hechicería, ella es condenada a morir quemada en la hoguera y su padre, ya asesinado por la misma razón, fue el origen de estas acusaciones.
Increíblemente ella no murió sino que fue enviada directamente al (déjenme adivinar... Un sitio horrendo llamado) infierno, por supuesto, después de renunciar a su humanidad.
En este lugar, es contactada por Lucifer, quien le ofrece poderes para materializar su venganza contra Matthias y ese es sólo el comienzo de una serie de carnicerías para saciar su sed de sangre.
Lady Death participó en batallas incontables, destruyendo todos los enemigos y cualquier cosa en su camino, con la ayuda de varios aliados poderosos, esbirros y un surtido de espadas malditas con nombres "inspiradores" como Oscuridad o Pesadilla, con la Guadaña de la Muerte incluida (muy apropiada y de hecho un arma extremadamente mortífera)...
Una de esas búsquedas para conquistar el infierno y la tierra, fue el pretexto de ella para encontrar el amor, uno retorcido, con alguien llamado Ernest Fairchild también conocido como Evil Ernie...
Al final, ella descubre que todo ese despliegue de poder fue solo una fachada para esconder el hecho que ella siempre fue usada para cumplir un propósito desconocido, así que ella nunca encontró la paz que estaba buscando, sólo frustración, ira y la perdición de su alma...
Ha pasado un tiempo desde la última vez que publiqué una figura y probablemente la mayoría de mis visitantes frecuentes piensan que yo cambié mi línea de colección, pero ese no es el caso aquí...
Esta es una figura vintage de Moore Action Collectibles, no muy usual pues no es de las líneas regulares de cómic sino algo orientado al público adulto.
La escultura y trabajo de pintura son realmente buenos como es de esperarse, el cuerpo es tan sexy como el del personaje mismo, aún la armadura tiene sensualidad y me encanta el efecto de la luz en una figura translúcida.
Sin mencionar que el trabajo de pintura en una figura translúcida es más exigente pues no puedes ocultar los errores.
La base de exhibición, el escudo y la espada tienen un trabajo estupendo también... Así que, a pesar de su transfondo lúgubre, la figura es hermosa (¿¡HA!?)...

The human beings have been endowed with an incredible gift: the imagination... Just one of the things that make us unique in all the creation.
I know many people think that the humankind is barely another type of animals and that makes a lot of sense for them, but I have not heard (and seriously, I don’t think it will ever happen...) that the animals have such a gift...
And now that I’m talking about imagination, this post is about another fictional character created by the prolific mind of Brian Pulido and the formidable strokes of Steven Hughes: Lady Death.
This girl, despite the appearances, has a bit of lady (extremely beautiful and voluptuous) and quite a bit of death (the most destructive woman I’ve ever seen in the world of comic!).
Briefly introduced in my Cremator’s publication, this character from the medieval age was a "pretty average" girl, the daughter of Matthias a nobleman (also "part-time" warlock) and Marion a noblewoman with viking heritage.
Her name: Hope, has nothing to do with the rest of her story, plagued of blood, war, deception, betrayal and vengeance.
After being accused of witchcraft, she’s condemned to the flames at the stake and her father, already killed for the same reason, was the origin of those accusations.
Incredibly she didn’t die, instead she was sent directly to (let me guess... A horrific place called) hell, of course, after she resigned her humanity.
At this place, is contacted by Lucifer, who offers her powers to realize her vengeance against Matthias and that’s just the beginning of a series of massacres to quench her thirst for blood.
Lady Death participated in countless battles, destroying all the enemies and everything in her path, with the help of many powerful allies, minions and an assortment of cursed swords with "inspiring" names like Darkness or Nightmare, with the Death Scythe included (very appropriate and indeed an extremely deadly weapon)...
One of those quests to conquer hell and earth, was the pretext for her to found love, a wicked one, with someone called Ernest Fairchild also know as Evil Ernie...
In the end, she discovers that all this display of power was only a facade that hid the fact that she had always been used to fulfill an unknown purpose, so she never found the peace she was searching for, only frustration, anger and the doom of her soul...
It’s been a while since the last time I published a figure and probably most of my frequent visitors think that I just changed my line of collection, but that’s not the case here...
This is a vintage figure by Moore Action Collectibles, not so usual since is not from the regular lines of comic, but something aimed for mature audiences.
The sculpt and paint job are really good as expected, the body is as sexy as the character herself, even the armor has sensuality and I love the effect of the light in a translucent figure.
Not to mention that a paint job over a translucent figure is more demanding since you cannot hide mistakes.
The display base, shield and sword have a stupendous work too... So, despite its gloomy background, the figure is beautiful (LOL!?)...

First, just my personal taste... I don't like fix posed figure, but that's jut me.
Secondly, I don't know much about the character and the series.
However, being a figure as it is, I think this is somehow quite unique purely on the color selection - crystal clear and blue - make it looks like a "fragile glass" figure.
i used to think the same way, the statues/fix posed figures were not my business, until i looked them carefully and noticed their excellent quality in sculpture (is not always the same, but most of the times is better than in regular action figures)...
also i agree that the character must be a complete stranger for you (and for many people as well) since this comic was aimed for mature audiences (for its extreme violence, controversial subject and crude language) and a limited series available for less than 5 years in the U.S.A...
this is a special edition (there is available other with the original comic colors) but this one with its particular finish won my heart and takes to the next level the coldness of this character...
Is this an exclusive version that come translucent? Is there a normal version of it? Fixed posed or action figure, I like it as long as it looks good on display. The sword and shield are great accessories and veri Amazonia!
yep, is the exclusive version of this figure, the original comic colors is also available... is something like the normal henkei Optimus Prime vs the clear version... actually, this is a hell of a figure HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... so to say, LOL
what..... the...... sorry I don't have any idea about this character -_- but I would say it's a fine looking figure. She reminds me of cat woman. Very detailed translucent body and I would say it's a good buy ;)
hell ???... yeah, you got the point !!! LOLOLOLOLOL... seriously this is an underground character, hardly known for most of the people, collectors included, except those like me, who delves into the rarities of the comic world... this must be as rare as some kinda gore/surreal japanese manga titles i have seen not so long ago...
the figure, yeah, is fantastic, beautifully sculpted with barely 7" high, i love the figures by Moore Action Collectibles !!!... uhmmm, by the way, Catwoman would look like a sick kitten in front of this wicked girl... Lady Death is frightening !!!... =OOOOO
